    With the UAE royals always known to give back to society, Her Highness Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum continues to carry on the same legacy.
    As our April 2020– The Gratitude Issue cover star, Her Highness Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum, founder of Sana Al Maktoum Fine Jewellery, shared how she has always been inspired but Dubai and the infinite opportunities the emirate has to offer.
    “The persistence to always move forward and improve in Dubai trickles down from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and flows through the veins of every resident of the city,” she previously told Emirates Woman. “That mindset is infectious and helps me strive to do better every day.”
    As a young entrepreneur, she has been grateful for all that has been achieved so far and is never hesitant to extend a helping hand to others.
    Besides working on her jewellery brand, Sheikha Sana has always gone out of her way to give back to the UAE’s local community and inspire future generations.
    Looking back on all these awe-aspiring experiences, we take a look at all those special moments that touched her royal fans’ hearts.

      In pics: Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum spends time with elder members of the community

      Her Highness Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum is continuing to give back to the local community.
      In her latest public outing, Sheikha Sana joined the ‘Discussions Across Generations’ event with the Ministry of Community Development.
      Her Highness was seen at Ski Dubai, located in the Mall of the Emirates, where she spent time with elder members of the Dubai community.
      A series of photos were posted on the UAE royal’s official Instagram account, where she shared her “happiness and gratitude” to be able to attend the event.
      “I really enjoyed learning and interacting with the elder members of our community at Ski Dubai with the penguins as well as listening to their perspectives on technology and how it can enhance their lives for the better,” she said.

      Her Highness also praised the work of Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development; Hessa Tahlak, Assistant Undersecretary of Social Development; and Alia Al Joker, Director of Family Development Department, for their efforts “towards building a better community for us all and for their contributions to these wonderful initiatives”.
      Just last month, Her Highness hosted a group of orphans and underprivileged children on a special outing in Dubai.
      In collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent, Sheikha Sana visited The Green Planet, the only indoor rainforest in the emirate, where she accompanied the children on this unique experience.
      Sheikha Sana previously shared with Emirates Woman, during our April 2021 cover shoot with Her Highness, her desire to give back to those less fortunate.
      “I was blessed to be born in the UAE, a safe haven to people from various backgrounds, where women are respected and treated equally, but I know that there are many who are not as blessed,” she said. “I hope to help change this by partnering with charities supporting the education of young children and women’s empowerment.”

      In pics: Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum hosts group of children on special Dubai outing

      Her Highness Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum is constantly giving back to the local community.
      Most recently, Her Highness hosted a group of orphans and underprivileged children on a special outing in Dubai.
      In collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent, Sheikha Sana visited The Green Planet, the only indoor rainforest in the emirate, where she accompanied the children on this unique experience.
      The children and Sheikha Sana visited the exotic wildlife in the indoor rainforest and also got to see the region’s only bearcat, as well as experience rainforest thunderstorms and see nocturnal animals up close during the day.

      Following the outing, Her Highness shared her joy at being able to experience the special outing with the group.
      “I was delighted to host a special group of children from Emirates Red Crescent in collaboration with The Green Planet,” she said. “It gave me so much joy to see the wonder and delight in their eyes as we walked through the bio-dome and interacted with many animals and birds.”
      She added: “I would like to thank Dubai Holding Entertainment for doing an amazing job in creating and providing such an engaging learning environment for the children of today. I’m sure they will remember this experience throughout their lifetime.”
      Sheikha Sana – the founder of Sana Al Maktoum Fine Jewellery and former Emirates Woman cover star – is no stranger to giving back to the community.
      Most recently Her Highness inaugurated a brand new breast clinic at Fakeeh University Hospital based in Dubai. Earlier this year, Sheikha Sana also hosted a special lunch in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent for orphans at Tashas Cafe.
      In our April 2021 cover shoot with Sheikha Sana, she previously shared with Emirates Woman her desire to partner with education-related charities, with a focus on women and children.
