The UAE announces it’s entering the planning stage to return to normal life

As the world has grappled with the COVID-19 pandemic for most of 2020, the UAE has shared some positive news about its recovery process.
Earlier this week on Tuesday, a press conference was held by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) where it was revealed that the country is now in the planning stages to return to normal life.

“The #Covid19 crisis has been a real test for the countries of the world,” the NCEMA said in a statement. “The #UAE was able to control the situation by stimulating its efforts and capabilities, and this has led to the #UAE entering the planning stage for recovery.”
While it was noted that the cases numbers in the UAE have increased recently, the rate of recovery in the country was also highlighted, showcasing the exceptional work the healthcare industry and frontline workers are doing to contain the virus and help patients recover.

We look forward to successfully moving beyond the planning stage for recovery, which is an important step that highlights the country’s efficiency and readiness to ensure a safe, gradual return to normal life.#CommitToWin
    — NCEMA UAE (@NCEMAUAE) November 10, 2020

In their campaign for recovery, which is using the hashtag #CommitToWin, key sectors will be a focus including the economy, tourism, education, aviation and health.
It’s a positive sign to see, with the government outlining they were looking forward to the future of things returning to normal.
“We look forward to successfully moving beyond the planning stage for recovery, which is an important step that highlights the country’s efficiency and readiness to ensure a safe, gradual return to normal life,” the NCEMA said.

An ex-Kardashian friend spoke out against the family and now they’ve hit back

It’s known the inner circle of the Kardashian-Jenners is very tight knight, and once you’re out, you’re out.
Over the past year, all of the sisters unfollowed their longtime friend Larsa Pippen and now she’s spoken out, but in true Kar-Jenner style, they, of course, hit back.

Larsa recently spoke out about the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars on a podcast, strongly suggesting that the demise of their friendship was down to Kim’s husband Kanye West who caused her to have a “different type of relationship” with the KKW Beauty founder.
“If your husband feels, like, threatened by my relationship with you, then I don’t want to be that person,” she said on the Hollywood Raw podcast.

Well, now an apparent source close to the Kardashians have told E! News that they distanced themselves from Larsa as they didn’t trust her and in fact caught her “talking behind their backs and it was all just too much”.

“They all think Larsa is toxic energy,” the source added.
In fact, the whole family believes Larsa is doing anything to make herself “stay relevant”.
“They think she’s trying to stay relevant and Kim doesn’t appreciate the accusations regarding Kanye,” the E! News source added.
“The family is very protective over one another and all feel like she violated their privacy by dishing out details to the public.”
Whatever went on behind the scenes between Larsa and the Kardashian sisters we may never know, but after this, we’re not sure if she’ll ever be in the good books again.

Some residents in Dubai can now apply for face mask exemptions

Over the last eight months throughout the global pandemic, wearing masks in the UAE has become part of the new normal.
However, it has now been announced that those who have medical conditions that are heightened by wearing a mask could apply for exemption from wearing one.

In an announcement by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Dubai Police, it was stated that residents in the emirate who have certain medical conditions affected by wearing a mask could be granted permission not to wear one.
Permits can be applied for via http://dxbpermit.gov.ae. The application must include a medically certified report detailing the health issue at hand and Emirates ID details also need to be given.

DHA’s General Medical Committee Office will evaluate the applications, which must include a medical report confirming the applicant suffers from medical problems that can be aggravated by face masks. The application will be processed within five days.
    — Dubai Media Office (@DXBMediaOffice) November 9, 2020

“DHA’s General Medical Committee Office will evaluate the applications, which must include a medical report confirming the applicant suffers from medical problems that can be aggravated by face masks,” Dubai Media Office stated. “The application will be processed within five days.”
The Dubai Media Office also outlined those who could be eligible for mask exemptions:
Those suffering from fungal dermatitis, especially if they have severe symptoms in the face like bleeding, itching and scaly skin.
Those allergic to any component of a mask (allergic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, contact urticaria).
Individuals with severe herpes simplex infection that affects the mouth, nose or face.
Individuals with acute and uncontrolled chronic sinusitis.
    Patients with uncontrolled asthma
People of Determination who have mental and psychological conditions.
The authority also stressed that while those who are granted an exemption are not required to wear a mask, it is advised that they should wear one where possible in order to minimise the risk of infection for both themselves and others.

Gigi Hadid shares a new photo with her newborn daughter

Gigi Hadid has shared a new photograph with her newborn daughter on Instagram.
Keeping the six-week-old baby girl’s face hidden, the supermodel shared a selfie with her daughter who was cuddling up to her mum.

And, of course, while she is currently off-duty from modelling, the 25-year-old still looked effortlessly chic despite becoming a mum less than two months ago.

The new mum sweetly captioned the snap, “She burps sunshine.”
It’s not the first snap Hadid has shared of her baby girl. Last week, she posted the first Hadid-Malik family photo complete with herself, baby girl Hadid-Malik and new dad Zayn Malik in celebration of Halloween.
While it’s the first family photo she has shared, Hadid kept her daughter’s face hidden and prior to this only photos of the newborn’s hand had been shown.
Similarly, to date, the name of baby Hadid-Malik has been kept private, but according to E! News, the newborn’s moniker is “unique”.

Hadid’s pregnancy was first reported on back in April. The model first spoke of her pregnancy – news which was revealed in the press and not by herself or Malik – during a video call appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, admitting they would have liked to reveal the news on their “own terms”, but also thanked everyone for their congratulations.
“Obviously, we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support,” she said at the time.
