    by Team Emirates Woman

IN PARTNERSHIP: The world of luxury auctions is undergoing a transformative shift, led by Eluxum, an auction house based in the GCC. Founded in 2019 by Kuwaiti entrepreneur Aysha Adnan Al Meer, Eluxum blends tradition with modern innovation, offering accessible auction experience.
This November, the brand will reach a significant milestone, hosting its inaugural live auction at the prestigious Bvlgari Hotel in Dubai on November 22. Designed to cater to both seasoned collectors and first-time bidders, this highly anticipated event promises a seamless in-person and virtual experience, bringing a global audience together to celebrate rare luxury.
The Investment Raffle: A Chance to Win Luxury
Eluxum’s “Rarest of the Rare” auction is taking exclusivity to new heights with the Investment Raffle. For just a $10 entry, participants can tune in to the live online auction and stand a chance to win one of two coveted prizes:

    Men’s Prize: A Rolex “Batman” GMT-Master II – a highly sought-after timepiece.
Women’s Prize: A Hermès Birkin in Chai Togo leather – the ultimate symbol of luxury.

This raffle isn’t just about winning; it’s about investing in luxury. Both prizes are renowned for their value appreciation over time, making this a unique opportunity for fashion enthusiasts and luxury investors alike. To register, tap here.

A Young Visionary’s Passion for Luxury

At just 24 years old, Aysha Al Meer has redefined what it means to be a trailblazer in the world of luxury. Her entrepreneurial journey began during her time as a university student in San Diego, California, where she discovered her passion for luxury handbags. This led to the creation of a thriving e-commerce luxury concierge service on Instagram, connecting clients to some of the world’s most sought-after items.

Aysha’s innate understanding of luxury and her ability to tap into global markets fueled the growth of her business, which now boasts a virtual team spanning major cities such as London, Paris, Dubai, and across the United States. The COVID-19 pandemic marked a pivotal moment in Eluxum’s development, as Aysha leveraged the increased demand for online luxury shopping to propel her brand forward. In September 2023, she transitioned her expertise into creating a full-fledged auction house, combining her knowledge of luxury craftsmanship with insights gained from attending high-profile global auctions.

    The Upcoming Eluxum Auction

Eluxum’s debut live auction is poised to set a new benchmark for luxury auctions in the region. The event, to be held at the iconic Bvlgari Hotel in Dubai, promises a sophisticated yet inclusive atmosphere. Attendees can look forward to an impressive lineup of rare and exclusive items, including luxury handbags and timepieces from renowned brands such as Hermès and Rolex.

    Redefining the Auction Model

Eluxum’s innovative approach is rooted in Aysha’s vision to make luxury auctions more engaging and inclusive. The upcoming auction showcases her commitment to curating an exceptional experience for both veteran collectors and newcomers. Beyond the high-value lots on offer, Eluxum aims to foster a vibrant community that shares a passion for luxury and craftsmanship.

The event exemplifies Eluxum’s mission to connect people across the GCC and beyond with rare and exquisite pieces. By combining the exclusivity of a luxury auction with the accessibility of modern technology, the company is bridging the gap between tradition and the digital age, creating a revolutionary platform for discovery and acquisition.

    A Glimpse into the Future

As Eluxum prepares for its debut auction, it is clear that Aysha Al Meer’s vision extends far beyond a single event. Her journey from e-commerce entrepreneur to auction house founder reflects a deep understanding of the luxury market and a relentless drive to innovate.

For those eager to explore the world of high-end auctions, Eluxum’s live event on November 22 offers the perfect entry point. Whether attending in person at the Bvlgari Hotel or tuning in virtually, participants will be part of a historic moment that redefines luxury auctions in the GCC.

    Join the Experience
Eluxum invites collectors, enthusiasts, and curious bidders to embark on this exciting journey. With an extraordinary collection of curated items and the opportunity to win iconic prizes, the auction is more than just an event—it is a celebration of craftsmanship, passion, and the thrill of discovery.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of this revolutionary experience. Eluxum is not just an auction house; it is a gateway to the extraordinary.

Billionaire Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant spotted at Dubai’s Global Village

    Life

    by Ruman Baig

Newlyweds Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant spotted at Dubai’s Global Village, video goes viral.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Dubai

In a rare public appearance, Anant Ambani, youngest son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, and his wife Radhika Merchant were spotted enjoying an evening out at Dubai’s Global Village. The couple, who tied the knot in a high-profile wedding just months ago, delighted fans and locals alike with their unexpected visit to this lively and budget-friendly destination. A video capturing their stroll through the attraction quickly went viral, as fans were thrilled to see the young couple embracing the vibrant atmosphere.

Global Village, a popular entertainment and shopping destination in Dubai, is known for its affordability and diverse cultural offerings. Despite their immense wealth, Anant and Radhika appeared to be enjoying a low-key outing as they explored the various food stalls, shops, and cultural exhibits. Fans flocked to snap pictures and share moments with the couple, who graciously interacted with onlookers, embodying a grounded and approachable demeanor.
Anant Ambani’s luxurious villa in Dubai

This recent sighting marks just one of many Dubai visits for the Ambanis, one of India’s wealthiest families. The Ambanis have an evident affinity for the UAE, with Mukesh Ambani reportedly gifting Anant and Radhika a luxurious $77.3 million beachfront villa on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah. Spanning approximately 3,000 square feet, the villa boasts 10 bedrooms, private beach access, and extravagant interiors that showcase Italian marble, unique artwork, and statement lighting. The Dubai villa is just the latest addition to the Ambani family’s expansive portfolio of properties worldwide.

Wedding Festivities: A Celebration of Grandeur Across Continents

The couple tied the knot in Mumbai in July 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre. Their pre-wedding celebrations have set a new benchmark for luxury.

In addition to these Mediterranean festivities, the Ambanis hosted a three-day event in Jamnagar, India. The celebrations included live performances from international music stars Rihanna, Akon, and Diljit Dosanjh. Rihanna’s appearance in particular added star power to an already unforgettable affair. Her presence underscored the Ambani family’s penchant for hosting high-profile entertainers.

The Ambani Family’s Legacy of Extravagant Celebrations

Mukesh Ambani, Asia’s wealthiest man, is known for his opulent lifestyle. He has previously organized weddings that were nothing short of legendary. His daughter Isha’s wedding in 2018, for example, featured performances by Beyonce and Bollywood’s elite. For Anant and Radhika, he appears to be following in the same grand tradition. Alongside the villa in Dubai, Ambani is estimated to have spent INR 1259 crore (approximately $158 million) on the wedding.

The Ambanis’ presence at Global Village reminded fans of their relatability, even amidst all the extravagance. Anant and Radhika’s outing captured a rare, unguarded moment of the couple simply enjoying an evening together. Highlighting that even in their world of luxury, there is room for simple joys. More

With same-day delivery options available, BloomingBox brings joy and beauty to your doorstep whenever you need it most.
To delve into the journey of these UAE-based entrepreneurs on how their journey began.
What was your favourite subject at school?
TS: While I’m not the best example of a person who likes school or studying, I would have to say my favourite subjects were Chemistry and Math.
JA: I was more focused on my extracurricular activities while in school, such as scouting, sports and building friendships. It was always a dream to attend culinary school after high school.

    What was your first job?
TS: My first unofficial job started when I was nine. I had a strong interest in carpentry and took on small projects for people who needed specific items. Later, at twelve, I worked with my grandfather to help refurbish our family house. My first official job was as a Sales Executive for Cobone.com.
JA: My first job was as a kitchen helper in a pastry kitchen right after high school. My first hospitality job was in the US after my studies in Switzerland.
    What brought you to Dubai?
TS: I was born and raised in Dubai.
JA: I moved for work and a job opportunity. I was working at The Langham in London and moved to Dubai to work at Madinat Jumeirah in 2006.
What inspired you to enter the floral Industry and launch BloomingBox?
Tariq: We both noticed a gap in the market for high-quality, affordable gifting options that also deliver a seamless customer experience. The online gifting industry was largely overlooked at the time, providing us with the opportunity to bring a fresh approach.
Jaya: I was drawn to the compelling idea that Tariq presented and was eager to explore something outside of the hospitality industry.

    Talk us through the concept?
TS: BloomingBox is a premium online gifting platform crafted to offer a wide range of gifting categories, including flowers, cakes, treats, hampers, plants, exclusive brand collaborations, and more. With a strong focus on customer service, we aim to provide a seamless and enjoyable gifting experience from selection to delivery, ensuring every gift creates a memorable impact.
JA: Our initial concept was very different from what BloomingBox is today. Early on, we realized that to build market trust, we needed to manage the entire process—from client engagement to final delivery.
What are the key elements of your role?
Tariq: From a high-level perspective, I see myself as the brand’s guardian. My role spans overseeing design and development, product quality, customer service, marketing, and the overall website experience. Additionally, I share responsibility with Jaya for strategic planning and financial management. I focus on setting a clear vision for the brand while creating an environment where team leaders are empowered to own their roles and drive the brand’s success.
Jaya: Key focus areas include overall operations, managing operating costs, negotiating with suppliers and vendors, establishing an effective company structure, and organizing the team to ensure smooth, efficient workflows. More recently, I’ve been overlooking our expansion to KSA.
Talk us through your daily routine.
Tariq: I’m an early riser. First, I drop my daughter to school and then make sure I’m at the office by around 9am. It’s a ritual to have lunch with the team as it allows me to connect with them on a personal level. Most of my days include a sports activity after work. Then some quality time with family and friends.
Jaya: I start the day by going through my emails, followed by a gym session. I head to the office around 11am and do a walk through the warehouse to connect with the team, followed by updates from the Head of Operations on yesterday’s performance and the week ahead. I then meet with other department heads to align on priorities. Since our recent launch in KSA, I’ve been frequently traveling between the two cities to support with our establishment there.
What advice do you have for anyone looking to follow in the same footsteps?
TS: My main advice is to approach everything with both logic and emotion. When decisions are made by combining the mind and heart, the outcome is often balanced and fulfilling. Logic can keep you grounded in your reasons for starting, while emotion encourages you to keep pushing forward when things get tough.
JA: Believe in yourself and surround yourself with people who have greater experience. If someone inspires you, invite them for a meal to learn from them—it’s a humbling and valuable experience.
Tell us more about pieces at BloomingBox.
TS: BloomingBox is more than just a gifting platform— we act as a design house dedicated to creating memorable pieces. Every product undergoes an intensive process, from ideation and concept development to design and production. Our team carefully considers each detail, including packaging, floral elements, and presentation, to ensure every item embodies our commitment to quality and beauty. Whether it’s a floral arrangement or a curated gift box, BloomingBox designs each piece to make a lasting impact on the gifting experience.
JA: Beyond our products, we prioritise creating a holistic customer experience by examining every step of our customer’s journey and interaction with us. From browsing to delivery, we carefully consider all channels and touchpoints to ensure a seamless and positive experience that resonates with each recipient. Our goal is to make every gift memorable, not just through the product itself, but through the entire process.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
TS: One of the best pieces of advice I received – For anything you aim to achieve, ask yourself, “What does that look like?” This question often brings clarity to the steps needed to make it happen. In business, I’ve learned that while engaging with those more experienced or influential can feel uncomfortable, it’s often rewarding. And, a reminder: the way you love yourself sets the standard for how others will love you.
JA: If you want to spend money, start earning!
    And what is the worst?
TS: The worst advice I received, though well-intentioned, was after my first startup failed—I was told to go get a job.
JA: Don’t take risks; play it safe!

What’s the biggest challenge you have had to overcome?
TS: Me. My own limitations and fears.
JA: In the early days, we were focused on raising funds and overlooked our own potential to shape our own path to success.
What’s your future for the brand?
TS: Global domination, product diversification. BloomingBox isn’t just here to transform the gifting industry, we’re committed to being part of every single emotional transaction and meaningful connection shared between people.
JA: Our current focus is on regional expansion and driving efficiency through automation to scale our operations effectively.

What are the key elements of your role?Tariq: From a high-level perspective, I see myself as the brand’s guardian.
Talk us through your daily routine.Tariq: I’m an early riser.

Talk us through the concept of Gigi Rigolatto.

From cityscape retreats to seaside escapes, Gigi’s spirit infuses each of his homes, combining extravagance with elegance, conviviality with refinement. Gigi Rigolatto captures the essence of Italy’s festive art of living, brought to life by a charismatic and whimsical Milanese traveler. Each restaurant is crafted as one of his grand residences, each with its own unique style, where guests are greeted with his inimitable panache. The garden’s thoughtfully layered design balances open areas with cozy corners, evoking the ambiance of a classic Italian villa. It offers a relaxed, homely atmosphere, making it the perfect place for guests to unwind and immerse themselves in nature.

The concept marks a new chapter in the city’s beachfront scene – what sets it apart?
Gigi Rigolatto sets itself apart in the city’s beachfront scene by being the first venue to open at J1 Beach, introducing a unique blend of Italian charm and luxury to this vibrant new destination. Our guests seek exclusivity and privacy, and our cabanas provide the perfect option for this. Each cabana offers a secluded retreat where guests can relax and enjoy their time away from the crowds, ensuring a truly intimate experience. Additionally, they offer easy access to the pool and beach, allowing guests to effortlessly transition between relaxation and recreation.
Bougainvillaeas encapsulate the space – what are some of the other fauna around the Beach House?
Bougainvillaeas add vibrant color and encapsulate the space around the Beach House, complemented by star jasmine, pittosporum, and select citrus species. The lush setting is further enhanced by a few elegant palm trees, creating a rich and diverse Mediterranean-inspired landscape.

Each aspect including the kids area has been taken care of – tell us more about Gigi Circus.
Gigi Circus is not just a magical destination for adults; it’s also a delightful haven for children. Thoughtfully designed with our youngest guests in mind, Gigi Circus provides a dedicated space where children can play, learn, and explore under the attentive care of expert supervisors. This allows families to relax and enjoy their time, knowing their little ones are safe and happily entertained.
This is ‘The Precious Issue’ – what precious qualities do you think are necessary to succeed in business?
According to Hugo Toro, “Working with passion isn’t always easy, but when done with heart, it becomes the most crucial element. It shines through in the design process, inspiring the studio team, and is ultimately reflected in the final result.”
