Here’s how much is Rihanna being paid to perform at the Ambani wedding

Life by Ruman Baig 10 mins ago Rihanna is all set to ‘work’ the stage in Jamnagar, India on March 1, 2024. Rihanna, the queen of hit songs and iconic performances, is making headlines once again, but this time it’s not just for her chart-topping tracks. The Barbadian sensation is set to grace the stage at the pre-wedding extravaganza of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, and let’s just say, she’s getting paid in ‘diamonds’ – quite literally! Not one to perform at private events, Rihanna’s decision to perform at the Ambani wedding comes with a hefty price tag – a jaw-dropping $8-9 million, which roughly converts to around 29-33 million Dirhams! Looks like she’s truly living up to her lyrics when she sang “Better Have My Money.” Arriving in Jamnagar with luggage that could rival a shipping container, Rihanna is pulling out all the stops for her performance. Reports suggest that most of the cost for her gig is going towards transporting her stage equipment, outfit changes, and of course, paying her backup singers. But Rihanna isn’t just showing up for a quick gig and disappearing into the night. She’s been spotted rehearsing and personally overseeing the setup at the indoor arena where she’ll be taking the stage. And rumor has it, she’ll be rocking some Indo-fusion clothing – talk about blending cultures like a true music maven! Fans eagerly anticipate Rihanna’s setlist, which is rumored to include a medley of her greatest hits, from “Diamonds” to “We Found Love in a Hopeless Place.” It’s been a while since we’ve seen Rihanna take the stage, so this performance is sure to be a treat for fans who’ve been waiting ‘under her umbrella’ for far too long. And let’s not forget the Ambani family’s penchant for grand celebrations. With Mukesh Ambani reportedly worth a staggering $116 billion, it’s no surprise that Anant and Radhika’s wedding is shaping up to be a three-day extravaganza fit for royalty. After all, this is the same family that had Beyoncé herself serenade guests at daughter Isha Ambani’s wedding in 2018 – talk about keeping up with the Carters! As Rihanna once sang, “Shine bright like a diamond” – and with a paycheck like hers, she’s sure to be shining all the way to the bank! – For more on luxury lifestyle, news, fashion and beauty follow Emirates Woman on Facebook and Instagram Images: Instagram: @badgalriri  More

Dubai metro and tram ban E-scooters: A shift in commuter dynamics

Life by Ruman Baig 9 mins ago In a move to prioritize passenger safety, the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has announced a prohibition on the use and carriage of E-scooters on the Dubai metro and tram services, effective from Friday, March 1. This decision, communicated through the RTA’s official Twitter account, signals a significant change in the transportation landscape of the city. E-scooters, once a popular choice for many commuters navigating the bustling streets of Dubai, will now have to find alternative routes. حفاظاً على سلامتك وسلامة الجميع، سيتم منع استخدام السكوتر الكهربائي داخل قطارات #مترو_دبي و #ترام_دبي، ابتداءً من يوم الجمعة 1 مارس 2024. #سلامتك_أولويتنا pic.twitter.com/vZ3sUAjUQF — RTA (@rta_dubai) February 29, 2024 The announcement has left many commuters startled, particularly those who relied on e-scooters as a convenient means to complete their daily journeys. The RTA clarified that this measure is aimed at safeguarding the well-being of individuals utilizing public transport networks. While the ban applies explicitly to the metro and tram systems, questions linger regarding its potential extension to bus services. As of now, there has been no official indication from the RTA regarding the status of e-scooters on buses. This development underscores the evolving dynamics of urban transportation and the challenges associated with integrating emerging modes of mobility into existing infrastructure. E-scooters, once hailed as a futuristic solution to last-mile connectivity, now find themselves at odds with regulatory frameworks designed to ensure passenger safety and system efficiency. In response to this ban, commuters who heavily relied on e-scooters may need to reconsider their travel arrangements and explore alternative options. Public transportation, including buses and metro lines, remains a reliable and sustainable choice for navigating Dubai’s vibrant cityscape. As the RTA prioritizes safety and efficiency in public transit, it is essential for commuters to stay informed about regulatory changes and adapt their travel habits accordingly. While the era of e-scooter commuting on the metro and tram may have come to an end, the quest for seamless and secure transportation solutions continues in the ever-evolving landscape of urban mobility. – For more on luxury lifestyle, news, fashion and beauty follow Emirates Woman on Facebook and Instagram Image: Instagram: @dubai_photoconcierge More

Situated in the prestigious residential district along Al Wasl Road, Breton’s Dubai flagship spans an impressive 2,300 square meters. The choice of Dubai as the launchpad for its global expansion was deliberate, owing to the city’s cosmopolitan allure, burgeoning luxury market, and exponential retail growth, which has soared to $10 billion over the past decade. 5 interesting things to know about Emirati content creator Khalid Al Ameri

Life by Sarah Joseph 2 hours ago Emirati content creator Khalid Al Ameri is an avid storyteller. Having cultivated an impressive online following for himself over the years, Khalid has shared many important messages with his audience. Some of his most popular videos are about growing up in a multicultural household, his mother is from the UK and his father is Emirati, his son’s autism, sharing an insight into how the UAE handled the COVID-19 pandemic and the story of his wife, Salama Mohamed’s skin condition vitiligo. Delving behind the lens of the camera, here’s a few facts you may not know about this hugely popular content creator. He completed his MBA at Stanford University After having graduated from high school at the American International School in Abu Dhabi, Khalid, later on went to complete his MBA at Stanford University in Business Administration. However, he discovered his passions lay elsewhere in storytelling. Doing a complete 180 from his MBA, Khalid moved into the journalism field and eventually landed a role as CNN’s Middle Eastern Correspondent. He’s known for his selfless acts From volunteering in schools around the world as part of Dubai Cares’ imitative to performing good deeds around the country. Khalid is known for spreading positivity and awareness through his selfless acts, including earlier last year when he took a video on YouTube explaining the concept of a Balikbayan box, where several household items are sent back home on behalf of residents of the Philippines. He also gave his housekeeper, Leila, a surprise with the box and a ticket to visit her family. His goal through content creation is to bring people together From laying emphasis on co-existing without conflict to sharing experiences that encourage one another, Khalid is always spreading love and awareness about serious issues. By also running a Facebook group entitled ‘Khalid’s World Group’, participating members are encouraged to share their experiences and see how they can help each other accordingly. He has a Scottish mother Having grown up in a multicultural household, Khalid is half Emirati, half Scottish. However, having grown up in the UAE, holding a UAE passport and having worked for UAE Government entities, he sees himself as “100 per cent Emirati”. In a column for The National, he said, “My mother is British and I love her – however, I am 100 percent Emirati. It is all I have ever known; it’s the country I love and work for every day. So how different am I? I don’t think I’m that different at all.” He reached new heights earlier this year Having garnered a massive fan base from making lighthearted and humorous videos with his wife Salama, the couple reached new heights (quite literally) at the beginning of this year. In January of this year, Khalid announced the exciting news that he and Salama had “TikTok’d [their] way to the Burj Khalifa” to his 1.2 million followers. “Can’t believe it,” he said of the opportunity. “Thank you [TikTok Arab creators] for the incredible opportunity and all of the support you have given our work, we are so excited for the year ahead and all the stories we are going to tell together.” – For more on luxury lifestyle, news, fashion and beauty follow Emirates Woman on Facebook and Instagram Images: Instagram @khalidalameri More
