Kim Kardashian announces ‘difficult decision’ to end hit reality show KUWTK

Since launching in 2007, the Kardashian-Jenner family has moulded reality television into what we know it today with their hit series Keeping Up With The Kardashians (KUWTK).
However, it was announced by Kim Kardashian West on Tuesday that the show would be coming to an end in early 2021.

“It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” the 39-year-old said in a statement.
“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”

The makeup mogul went on to confirm that the last season of KUWTK would air early next year, which will mark the end of the iconic reality television show.
Ending her statement, Kardashian shared her gratitude for the show, noting how it has shaped her entire career.

Huda Kattan explains why she’s been absent from social media

While she’s had a fair few product launches over the past few months, Huda Kattan has been rather quiet on the social media front.
The Huda Beauty CEO opened up about why she took a short hiatus on social media after revealing she had been getting a lot of questions from people asking where she had been.

In a seven-minute video she posted to her personal Instagram page, the 36-year-old revealed she needed a break after admitting things in her life have moved at an incredibly rapid pace over the past 10 years since launching her Huda Beauty blog.
“Things have moved so fast for myself and my family and my team since starting my blog in 2010 – it’s been 10 years,” she explained.

Kattan went on to reflect on her younger years as a child, admitting she always felt unattractive. When she discovered makeup, she felt it was the tool that was going to give her the “power” to make herself feel better.
“At the time I didn’t realise I don’t need those tools – I didn’t realise I had it within me,” she said. “At the time, I thought it was always the products that made me feel that way.

“Now, I know better, now I know we have so much power within us.”
Recalling when she started her blog over a decade ago, Kattan admitted she thought she was just going to be “a service to people” as a source of information when it comes to makeup and beauty.
“I never in a million years thought I was going to have a business – thought I was going to have a brand and sell products,” she said.
Little did she know Huda Beauty would turn into a globally recognised beauty brand and would eventually go onto launch a skincare line too – Wishful. However, along with this Kattan reveals she consistently had to be on her top game to continue the success she was experiencing.
“I had to become a higher version of myself continuously,” she said. “I don’t know if I ever took a moment to centre myself.”
With Kattan having been on the constant grind, ensuring her brand would be as successful as it could be, the beauty CEO admitted she needed time to reconnect with herself, hence the hiatus on social media.
“I needed time to go back to the most basic version of myself,” she said, adding ti was extremely “liberating and empowering to do so”.
However, the much-needed break has left the makeup mogul more ready than ever to get back to creating content, connecting with her creative side and connecting with her audience. “I want to share things I haven’t before,” she added.
It sounds like there’s plenty of exciting things happening with Kattan and Huda Beauty, so watch this space.

UAE residents can now watch Netflix original content for free, no subscription

It’s no secret we’re huge fans of Netflix – Selling Sunset anyone? – particularly given our social lives have largely been on hold due to the ongoing pandemic.

The monthly subscription fee that comes out of accounts each month has been money well spent during lockdown.
However, in a move to try and attract even more subscribers, the streaming giant has recently made its original content available to watch for free – no subscription needed.
No login, no fee, no information required – just a screen and an optional bowl of popcorn.
Now, we’re not saying you can watch absolutely anything for free, but many of the big hits which are originally produced by Netflix are available including Stranger Things, Love Is Blind and Bird Box.
So, if you’ve been debating signing up for a subscription – even though we don’t know how you survived without one before – this is the perfect time to test out Netflix.
To gain access to Netflix’s full library of content including documentaries, TV shows and movies, plans in the UAE range from Dhs29 per month to Dhs56 per month.

Kim K is once again dominating the world with her latest business venture

Sell-out makeup brand – tick. Sell-out shapewear brand – tick. Hit reality television show – tick. On her way to becoming a fully qualified lawyer – tick. Is there much more Kim Kardashian West has time for? Well, apparently so.

According to a new report by People magazine, the makeup mogul is exploring the realms of homeware and interiors – something that we can’t get enough of here at EW.
Kardashian has apparently filed trademarks for KKW Home, which includes a long list of household items.
The magazine reports the trademark that was filed states that the new venture by Kardashian will feature “gifts, general consumer merchandise, bath and shower products and accessories, bedroom furnishings and accessories, and home furnishing and accessories”.
It’s certainly a smart market the 39-year-old could be tapping into, given that most of us have been spending more time at home than usual due to the pandemic meaning everyone’s been perfecting their ideal home space.
If the reality star’s recent mask launch is anything to go by, we’ve got our bets on KKW Home being an immediate hit.
