      Bella Hadid shares unseen photos with her sister Gigi to mark her birthday

      Supermodel sister duo Gigi and Bella Hadid are both forces to be reckoned with.Having both dominated the fashion industry for the past few years, modelling for some of the most coveted luxury brands including Versace, Burberry, Givenchy, Chanel, Valentino, Chloé and more.The pair are often seen on the catwalk and in campaigns together, but are both equally household names in their own rights.The elder of the two sisters, Gigi, was the first to begin modelling as a baby and Bella eventually followed in her big sister’s footsteps starting her modelling career when she was a teenager.As part of her birthday tribute to her elder sister, Bella thanked Gigi for being a teacher to her, whilst also sharing a series of unseen photos of the pair from their childhood and from backstage at various fashion shows and events.“I wouldn’t be able to do this life without you Gigi,” Bella said on Instagram to mark her sister’s 26th birthday. “Thank you for all that you have taught me and for always supporting me the way you do.“Happy Birthday bestie.       Mohamed Hadid shares unknown facts about Gigi Hadid to mark her birthday

      This weekend supermodel Gigi Hadid celebrated her 26th birthday.Of course, she received many birthday wishes across the globe including from her sister Bella Hadid and her boyfriend Zayn Malik.But it was her father, Mohamed Hadid, who decided to share some unknown facts about his daughter to mark her birthday.Taking to Instagram, the property tycoon shared a photo side-by-side of his daughter posing for the Burberry AW21 show and of baby Khai.He captioned the photo stating he’d be sharing “20 things that you did not know about Gigi Hadid”.The father-of-five began by saying the Palestinian-Dutch model was “self-made [and] never took a single dollar from her parents”.Mohamed also shared when her career first began, when she was in a Baby Guess campaign at the age her own daughter is now, around seven months.She was also a junior Olympic volleyball contender and an “accomplished equestrian junior Olympic contender and hundreds of first place and national championships”.“She was [accepted into] New York University’s forensic criminal psychology after high school,” he added.The proud father also highlighted she has the highest number of Vogue covers globally, which sits at around 50.The model is also the Unicef USA ambassador to Africa, Middle East and Southeast Asia.While that’s only seven facts so far, we’re sure the proud father will be sharing more.– For more on luxury lifestyle, news, fashion and beauty follow Emirates Woman on Facebook and InstagramFeature image: Supplied More

      The UAE is considering movement restrictions for the unvaccinated

      As the UAE continues its nationwide vaccination drive against COVID-19, it’s been announced by a top health official that there are movement restrictions being considered for those who are unvaccinated.In a statement posted to the UAE’s National Crisis Emergency and Disaster Management Authority Twitter page, a statement was made by Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri.It was stated by Dr. Al Dhaheri, “Strict measures are being considered to restrict movement of unvaccinated individuals and to implement preventive measures such as restricting entry to some places and having access to some services, to ensure the health and safety of everyone.”

      A new crescent-shaped lake has appeared in the Dubai desert

      With new buildings and attractions popping up in Dubai all the time, the latest attraction to emerge in the emirate is in the desert, inspired by the famous Love Lake.The new Moon Lake, which is in the shape of a crescent moon, can be found in the middle of the Al Qudra desert the Google Map coordinates of 24.7874218, 55.3065662.The new lake was first revealed by popular Dubai-based photographer and videographer, Mostafa, who goes by @100.pixels on Instagram.The photographer referred to it as a “hidden gem” in Dubai, “full of wildlife and barely untouched nature”.The discovery was made by Mostafa just at the start of Ramadan, and it looks particularly stunning amongst the bright sands of the desert.However, in order to access the new lake, you’ll need to ensure you have the right vehicle to get you there, namely a 4×4 as there’s no direct road leading to the Moon Lake. We suppose it does add to the adventure aspect of the journey.Earlier this year, another landmark, also a lake, was uncovered in the UAE.The unearthing of this unique nature spot – a bright pink lake in Ras Al Khaimah – was by an Emirati student, Ammar Al Farsi who is from Sharjah.Using a drone, the 19-year-old captured the stunning shots which he shared to social media.
