Bar des Prés by celebrated French chef Cyril Lignac has opened its doors on the 51st floor of ICD Brookfield Place, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the DIFC skyline.
    About Bar des Prés

    The restaurant seamlessly blends French elegance with Japanese culinary influences, creating a unique and unforgettable dining experience. The design, inspired by the enchanting streets of Paris, features a signature blue hue, copper tones, and bamboo and rattan accents, reflecting the East Asian influence.
    USP of this new DIFC hotspot 
    The centerpiece of the restaurant is the sushi counter, where guests can witness the artistry of sushi chefs preparing exquisite dishes. The menu features a delightful array of French-inspired dishes with Japanese twists. Some of the signature dishes include the Crispy rice, tuna, salmon & yellowtail, the Crunchy crab & avocado galette, the Black cod, caramelised with miso, baby spinach and sesame, and the Charred A4 Japanese Wagyu entrecote.

    For dessert, indulge in the decadent Vanilla Mille-feuille with pecan praline or the towering Profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.

      How long have you been in this space?
      We opened our doors at ICD Brookfield Place on September 1, 2023.
      Have you custom-built any bespoke pieces?
      The whole space has been custom- built. As design guardians, London-based TR Studio Architects worked very closely with us to turn our vision into reality. We wanted to create a special space for our clients. In addition to the design, the art collection has been specially curated and includes pieces by Picasso, Ed Ruscha, Damien Hirst, and eLSeed, among others.
      How do you think the interior reflects you?
      Whether at our ICDB or our Jumeirah location, art has been at the heart of our design. This is a constant in all our spaces because what is a space without art? We also believe that comfort and aesthetic must go hand in hand which is why we en- sure that our spaces are first and foremost comfortable for our clients.
      Describe your taste in three words.
      Classically modern, comforting and timeless.

      Founders of Lulu & The Beanstalk, Wafa and Amirah Tajdin, talk to Emirates Woman about their hangout spot imbued with cosy familiarity and cool energy in ICD Brookfield Place and how it reflects their heritage and personalities.
      How long have you been in this space?
      We’ve been open since September 2022, so just over a year.
      Have you custom-built any bespoke pieces?
      Most of the space was a labour of love from our designer whose signature style is upcycling and re-inventing classic and iconic design pieces. She upcycled six of the Artek dining chairs, complemented by a beautiful Kooij table, and above that sits a one-off lamp designed for use by New York-based Japanese artist Yuko Nishikawa. Our most iconic custom décor is our centerpiece chandelier which was crafted by the whimsical team of Willow Lamp in South Africa. The bar front was a terrazzo design commissioned locally.
      How do you think the interior reflects you?
      Mama Lulu was a woman who loved colours, and her world was filled with them. That was important for us to recreate through the lens of our designer and a big reason why we went with a female designer as well as she has an authentic understanding of curves, colours and texture. It was also important to evoke our island heritage (we have roots in Lamu and Mombasa in Kenya) and to capture the feeling of warmth and community that our grandmother’s home symbolised not just for us growing up, but our family and community as a whole in Nairobi and now through her spirit, Dubai.

      Warm, welcoming and delicately tasteful.
