Rolls-Royce unveils Black Badge Cullinan Series II: A subversive evolution

    Emirates Man

    by Ruman Baig

Rolls-Royce has unveiled the Black Badge Cullinan Series II, an evolution of their darkest alter ego.
This new model caters to a distinct clientele seeking a bolder interpretation of the Rolls-Royce experience.
    Exterior Design
The Black Badge Cullinan Series II boasts a striking front end with redesigned air intakes that hint at its increased dynamism. For the first time ever, the iconic Pantheon grille is illuminated, adding a touch of modern flair. The grille comes in Black with a silver horizon line or a full black finish for those seeking complete darkness. Every exterior detail, including the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, is cloaked in Black. This extends to door handles and window surrounds for the first time. Black chrome accents and mirror-black exhaust treatments further emphasize the dark character.

Clients can personalize the lower body surfaces with their choice of color, creating a visually lowered stance. The Black Badge Cullinan Series II rides on the largest wheels ever offered on a Black Badge Rolls-Royce – 23-inch wheels with a unique 10-spoke design. Red brake calipers add a signature pop of color.
    Subversive Interior Treatment
Technical Carbon remains a hallmark Black Badge material, adorning the interior with its three-dimensional geometric pattern. The Black Badge infinity symbol can be integrated into the rear waterfall section or embroidered onto lounge seats. A new Duality Twill fabric, inspired by the bamboo groves of the French Riviera, offers a luxurious and sustainable option. This intricate textile can be further customized with bold Bespoke colorways.

Perforated leather seats featuring an abstract cloud-inspired pattern add another layer of visual intrigue. Darkened air vents and a unique Black Spirit of Ecstasy figurine housed in the Clock Cabinet enhance the interior’s dark ambiance. For a truly futuristic touch, Black Badge Cullinan Series II offers Bespoke digital instrument dials in five neo-futuristic colorways.
Proven Engineering with a Black Badge Twist
The Black Badge Cullinan Series II retains the powerful 6.75-liter V12 engine with 600PS and 900Nm of torque. Calibrated for more immediate acceleration, the engine works seamlessly with the ZF eight-speed gearbox and steered axles to deliver an effortless yet dynamic driving experience. A “Low” mode unlocks the full potential of the Black Badge, altering exhaust note, sharpening throttle response, and increasing gear shift speed.

    A Bold Bespoke Statement
The Black Badge Cullinan Series II embodies a distinct attitude within the super-luxury segment. It caters to a bold clientele who appreciate a subversive take on luxury and Rolls-Royce is committed to fulfilling their desire for audacious self-expression.

5 easy ways to keep it cool this summer: Dubai temperature to rise

    Life

    by Ruman Baig

Dubai is no stranger to scorching temperatures, but this week promises to be a scorcher. With highs expected to reach around 39°C (102°F), it’s crucial to take precautions to stay healthy and avoid heatstroke.
Here are some tips to help you beat the Dubai heat and stay cool:
    1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!

This one can’t be stressed enough. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Avoid sugary drinks and opt for water, coconut water, or diluted fruit juices. Carry a reusable water bottle and refill it frequently.
    2. Seek Shade and Limit Sun Exposure

The sun is at its strongest between 11 am and 4 pm. During this time, stay indoors in air-conditioned spaces or seek shade outdoors. Plan outdoor activities for early mornings or evenings when the temperatures are cooler.
    3. Dress for the Heat

Wear loose, lightweight, and breathable clothing made from natural fibers like cotton or linen. Opt for light-colored clothing that reflects sunlight. Protect your head with a hat and wear sunglasses to shield your eyes from UV rays.
    4. Cool Down Regularly
Take refreshing showers or baths throughout the day. Cool down your wrists and ankles with cold compresses or wet towels. Avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day.
    Bonus Tip:
Malls: Dubai boasts some of the world’s most extravagant malls, like the Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates. They offer air-conditioned shopping, entertainment options like arcades and aquariums, and even indoor ski slopes.
Museums: Immerse yourself in culture at the Dubai Museum, Etihad Museum, or explore the world of illusions at the Illusion Museum.Art Galleries: Discover local and international art at galleries like Salsali Private Museum or Alserkal Avenue.
Water Parks: Cool down with thrilling rides and refreshing water features at Wild Wadi Water Park or Aquaventure Waterpark.Cinemas: Catch the latest blockbusters in luxurious comfort at IMAX cinemas or enjoy traditional Arabic movies at Novo Cinemas.
By following these simple tips, you can beat the Dubai heat and stay healthy throughout the week. Remember, even if you’re acclimated to the climate, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. Stay cool and enjoy the summer in Dubai.
