The ‘plot twist’ with Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber no one saw coming

    Lifestyle

    by Olivia Morris

Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber are officially putting the past behind them.
The pair both attended the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures 2nd Annual Gala presented by Rolex on Saturday, where they unexpectedly posed for a series of photographs together – a move no one saw coming.
The photographs, which have gone viral on social media, were taken by Tyrell Hampton. The photographer shared one of the images on his Instagram page which he captioned “plot twist”, which is perhaps the only way to describe it.

These photographs come after Bieber recently appeared on popular Spotify podcast Call Her Daddy where she opened up to host Alex Cooper about the rumours she “stole” her now-husband Justin Bieber from Selena Gomez following their eight-year on-off relationship.
The 26-year-old flatly denied any crossover ever occurring with Gomez’s relationship with Justin saying, “I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody. That’s the end of it.”
The model also addressed the ongoing slew of hate she had received online over the years due to her relationship with Justin.
Days after the podcast was released Gomez took to TikTok appearing to address what Bieber had discussed during her tell-all interview, saying there is no place for bullying in her community.

“I think some of the things that I don’t even need to be aware of are just vile and disgusting, and it’s not fair, and no one, ever, should be spoken to in the manner that I’ve seen,” she said.
Bieber, formerly Hailey Baldwin, married Justin in November 2018 after the pair got engaged in July 2018. The pair had reconciled their relationship just a month earlier in June 2018, after previously dating in 2015 and 2016.
At the time, Justin had just split from long-term girlfriend Gomez whom he had dated on and off between December 2010 to March 2018.
After the pair split for the final time in March, this led many fans to conclude there was a crossover between Gomez and Bieber and has led to an onslaught of online hate.
Well, in true “plot twist” fashion, both women have proven there is no bad blood at all. We love to see it.

Tennis player Roger Federer dines like Sheikh Hamdan in Dubai

    Lifestyle

    by Sarah Joseph

When it comes to dining, the Dubai royals always know the best places to go.
This week, the famous tennis player Roger Federer visited the globally known SushiSamba, which is also known to be a hotspot Sheikh Hamdan loves.

The restaurant posted a picture of the Director of Culinary at SushiSamba, Chef Kyungsoo Moon happily posing with both Federer and the renowned actor Martin Lawrence and shared how it was “a pleasure” to have the both of them visit.
The venue is a hotspot for visitors and residents in the UAE with its glistening views of Dubai’s skyline and its multifaceted menu which seamlessly combines Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian influences.

Shortly after the restaurant opened and made a mark for itself in Dubai, Fazza thought it fit to host one of his most famous friends at the restaurant. The emirate’s Crown Prince was seen visiting the hotspot with famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this year and the restaurant’s team described it as an “honour” to welcome this Dubai royal and even shared a photo from his visit on their feed, as the duo enjoyed all the delectable dishes with the rest of the entourage.
With evocative interiors and a tropical ambience, the restaurant brings an artful mix of culinary delights such as ceviche, tempura, Brazilian churrasco and more, making it a memorable experience for all, after already establishing itself in London and Las Vegas.
Located on the 51st floor of The St. Regis, The Palm, this fine-dining spot should be added to your celebrity-approved places to visit next.

In pics: Royal pilot Sheikha Mozah Al Maktoum gets a taste of Dubai’s flying car

    Lifestyle

    by Olivia Morris

Earlier this week the world’s first public flight of the two-seater eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) flying car X2 took place in Dubai.
The flying car, designed by Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng, made its debut at the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) in the emirate.
With over 100,000 visitors to the convention, one of the people to get a taste of the revolutionary flying vehicle was none other than Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Al Maktoum.
The Dubai royal made a visit to the biggest technology conferences in the Middle East earlier this week where she explored what the future of technology has to offer.

The former Emirates Woman cover star shared a series of photos on her official Instagram page and in one of the snaps Her Highness is seen sitting in the eVTOL flying car X2 getting an experience for what it’s like – but on the ground for now.
“A vision for the future from visionary leadership… From Metaverse to self-flying Cars, what an exciting future ahead of us … #gitex2022,” she captioned the post.
Given that she’s a qualified pilot – she’s actually the first Emirati royal who qualified as a commercial pilot for Emirates Airline – we’re sure Her Highness would have no problem taking this vehicle to the skies.
The eVTOL flying car X2 took to the skies on Monday at the Dubai Marina completing a 90-minute test flight, marking an era of short-haul flights and intelligent mobility solutions.
The two-seater eVTOL flying car X2 is equipped with an intelligent flight control system and autonomous flight capabilities and is developed by XPENG’s affiliate XPENG AEROHT. The X2 emits zero carbon dioxide and is designed with low-altitude city capabilities, with a maximum flight speed of 130 kilometres per hour.
