Last year brought us some of the biggest couple breakups, which included Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik. After more than a year apart, the duo were photographed holding hands in New York City and we can only hope that this means they are back together.
The couple, who fans referred to as Zigi started back in 2015 and have been on-again, off-again ever since. After two breakups, music video appearances, and Instagram PDA, rumours of a reunion started to swirl again at the end of December and now we have all the proof we need.
Fans started to speculate that Gigi and Zayn were back together back in December thanks to an Instagram story. The supermodel shared a photo of a meal she was cooking based on a recipe from Zayn’s mother, Trisha Malik whom she also tagged in the post. Now fans can stop speculating as the duo made a public appearance in New York City looking all loved up.
The couple, who both hail from Muslim backgrounds stepped out for the night to celebrate the singer’s 28th birthday. The duo were joined by Gigi’s sister Bella and her brother Anwar’s girlfriend Dua Lipa.
Despite being apart last year, there was no doubt that the couple had feelings for one another, and Zayn made sure the whole world knew it. Back in March, the former One Direction band member professed his love for Gigi on Twitter, tweeting his at the time ex-girlfriend “@GiGiHadid love you,” making fans question if he has been hacked.
