How I got my job as…Les Mills global brand ambassador

Have you kicked off your Dubai Fitness Challenge?

The Dubai Fitness Challenge encourages the city’s residents to strap on their sneakers and give their bodies a health kick. Need extra motivation? We may have found just the perfect person for that.

Caley Jack is a Les Mills Global Brand Ambassador, Masterclass Presenter and National Educational Trainer. She is passionate about pre and post natal fitness as well as Sports Massage Therapy.

Currently living between South Africa and the United States, her passion is to create a community where people can comfortably explore the benefits and vitality of health and fitness.

Health and Fitness – specialising in pre/post-natal pregnancy fitness as well as group fitness. I studied further to become a Massage therapist where sports and pregnancy massage are two big focuses of mine!

What was your first job?

I started working when I was 16 years old as a hostess for a Mediterranean Restaurant.

What inspired you to enter the health & wellness space?

The Group Fitness space really helped refocus my purpose – to be able to influence a community of people with a common interest is such an honour. I feel everyone deserves to be a part of a community daily that uplifts, support and helps you stay accountable to yourself and your goals.

What are the key elements of your role?

I have a few different roles. However, the one that keeps me busiest is being a Global Brand Ambassador for a group fitness company called Les Mills International. My role is diverse. From flying around the world to visit our global markets and business partners, to presenting Fitness Classes and Education sessions at events and flagship gym clubs, to assisting Les Mills film their educational content that is distributed to our Les Mills instructors around the world.

What advice do you have for anyone looking to follow in the same footsteps?

I would encourage them to Establish their ‘WHY’ and ‘PURPOSE’ first and foremost. This is so important to ground the foundation of each person’s journey. Why do you do what you do? Industries are constantly evolving, to stay on top of your game you need to evolve, develop and grow with the market. Two quotes that sit close to my personal journey is: “You get what you work for, not what you wish for” and “It’s not about luck. It’s about hard work and relentless drive for constant progression.”

Which brands can we find in your work wardrobe?

Reebok and Polar.

Hard work creates leaders, and laziness succeeds at nothing. Also, it’s better to give than to receive. Doing everything with true intention, love and with a joyful and humble heart.

What has been the biggest challenge you had to overcome?

My father passing away when I was 19 years old.
