Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have finally tied the knot.
With a gathering of all their close family and friends, the couple said ‘I do’ in an intimate ceremony in California on Thursday, June 9, 2022.
The singer wore a custom strapless Versace gown with a slit up one side and a classic net veil to complement her bridal look. By opting for a natural look, Spears kept the wedding flamboyance to a minimum and went for a clean finish with makeup by Charlotte Tilbury.
Per People, over 60 VIP attendees were present at the wedding including the likes of Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore and Paris Hilton to witness her walk down the aisle to Elvis Presley’s hit, ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’.
The newlyweds were engaged back in September 2021, however, due to conservatorship issues, proceeding with the wedding came with a host of multiple challenges, thereby postponing it to a later date.
Earlier in June 2021, an LA Court judge ruled her controversial 13-year conservatorship was “no longer required” and her long battle eventually came to an end.
Later in April 2022, Spears announced the pregnancy news to her Instagram audience via a post on social media. The couple was expecting their first child together until the pop icon later shared an unexpected miscarriage announcement to her 41.3 million Instagram followers a month later.
Nevertheless, kudos to the newly married couple for beginning their beautiful journey together.
