Abu Dhabi airline Etihad Airways has expanded its special passenger flights in order to help those stranded in the country to be able to return to their home nations.
The UAE-based airline will now be flying to London Heathrow, Zurich, Dublin, Brussels and Tokyo, as well as Singapore, Melbourne, Seoul, Jakarta, Amsterdam and Manila.
“Etihad Airways has been operating special flights which have allowed passengers stranded in the UAE due to COVID-19 restrictions, the opportunity to return home,” the airline said in a statement. “The flights also support the ‘UAE Food Security Program’ by utilising belly-hold capacity of passenger aircraft for cargo.”
