Create your own movie night experience in the comfort of your home with the first Art House cinema in Dubai, Cinema Akil.
The venue has partnered with Mubi, the VOD platform for indie films, to offer a 90-day free movie streaming service while it remains shut to comply with COVID-19 regulations. Films will be hand-picked each day and will be added to the platform.
“[It is] during this period that we honour our commitment to protect our community and practice social distancing, we have teamed up with Mubi; the independent video-on-demand platform to bring our audiences three months of free arthouse films (30 films a month) to join them on their screens,” Butheina Kazim, Founder of Cinema Akil, said.
Right now you can tune into an Indian dramatic comedy directed By Rajkumar Hirani; a 1934 romance from the US called directed By Anthony Chen; and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa and more.
