The new Sheikh Mohammed-approved Italian restaurant to visit in Dubai

Life

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai added yet another Italian restaurant on our roster this year.

Known for his culinary expeditions around Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed was spotted along with other members of the Royal family walking outside Scalini Cucina in Dubai Mall yesterday.

After opening its doors this year at Dubai Mall, this Italian gem is known for its irresistible home-cooked dishes crafted to perfection. The restaurant was born to redefine casual Italian dining in Dubai.

A the heart of Scalini Cucina lies its pizzeria, where the artistry of Neapolitan and Roman pizza-making comes to life. Diners can enjoy the perfect blend of thick pillowy crust, typical of Naples and a thin, crispy base that is the hallmark of Rome. Prepared with the finest and freshest ingredients, each pizza is a unique and unforgettable ode to the essence of Italy.

To end on a sweet note, guests can indulge in the restaurant’s signature Tiramisu. From the signature Maritozzo, classic Tiramisu, Cannoli Siciliani and freshly whipped gelatos, each dessert is a true testament to the rich pastry heritage found in pasticcerias throughout Italy, offering a taste of nostalgia and a delicious glimpse into the country’s culinary history.

With a plethora of restaurants available in Dubai, it can be hard to choose where to go, however, the Royals know exactly where to visit. If you’re looking for somewhere to dine at then, these restaurants are a must-visit.

Previous restaurants visited this year

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited bkry on 12 June 2024, and the restaurant posted the following caption to its official Instagram account: “We were honoured yesterday by the visit of HH. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum @alserkalavenue. We are beyond thankful for your continued support.”

The Dubai Ruler was also spotted at the outpost of the Cipriani Dolci on Wednesday January 10 with a group. The Cipriani name is firmly a family legacy, with four generations of the Italian Cipriani family building a single restaurant that opened in 1931 into a renowned hospitality brand all over the world. In the UAE, Cipriani’s upscale Italian restaurants can be found in various locations – DIFC in Dubai and Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi.

So if you’re ever in need of trying out a new restaurant, Sheikh Mohammed is well-versed with the best restaurants in Dubai.
