Your fabulous guide to this weekend in Dubai: October 1-3

We know what you’re thinking, how is it already October? As we approach the best time of year to be outside in Dubai (finally) we can start to take advantage of poolside brunch offers and al fresco happy hour deals.

Stay for less

Who can resist a stylish staycation? At Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai you are treated like a VIP from check-in to check-out and the whole experience is made even better with a reduced room rate and added perks. UAE residents booking for a weekend getaway can enjoy 20 per cent off the room fee as well as complimentary breakfast and dinner for two. Prices start from Dhs1,116 per room per night. To stay #LikeACaesar book now at +971 (0)4 556 6666 or email stay@caesarsdubai.ae.

Mean treats

You better have your meme ready on October 3 (if you know, you know) to go with your box of themed mini cupcakes from Sugargram. The sweet destination has unveiled a box with 25 tiny cupcakes to share with your gang of “Plastics” as you recite all of the famous quotes from the movie splashed across the front of the box. Whether you’re all for the red velvet cupcake that’s just as fiery as the character or mini treat that packs in some festive flavours, there are plenty of unique combinations to enjoy while re-watching the much-loved flick. The Sugargram’s box is priced at Dhs125 and you can get an additional “” T-shirt for Dhs50.

Chill with a view

Kick off your weekend with a happy hour at Dubai’s ultimate chill out spot QD’s – located at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. The venue has reopened with all the usual dining and shisha options to enjoy while marvelling at the spectacular views of Dubai Creek. The happy hour runs from 6pm to 8pm with drinks available for as little as Dhs28. We suggest staying for dinner to enjoy a diverse menu that features Middle Eastern, Indian and Mediterranean dishes.

Poolside chic

With the weather getting better for the perfect pool day, why not escape to the fashionable La Piscina at Palazzo Versace Dubai and enjoy one or two of their weekend offers. First up is that takes place every Thursday and includes five drinks and two dishes for Dhs145. The Saturdaybrunch is ideal for those who just want to lounge by the pool and enjoy an array of Mediterranean dishes and free flowing beverages for Dhs250.

Dim sum and bubbles

We might’ve found our new favourite food and drink combination – dim sum and Champagne, and you can get your fill at both at Hutong in DIFC. Every Friday you can indulge in free-flow dim sum, free-flow Champagne and free-flow cocktails alongside an impressive choice of fifteen dishes. Stars on the menu include the Wild Mushroom & Truffle Bao; the Suan Cai Yu Crispy Dumpling; Tea Smoked Egg Foie Gras; and the Hutong Dan Dan Noodles. The Dim Sum Brunch is priced at Dhs358 per person for free-flow dim sum and food; Dhs488 per person including Zonin Prosecco Brut; Dhs588 per person including Champagne (both options include red and white wine, house spirits and selected Hutong Signature cocktails).

Find your zen

Looking for a unique yoga experience? LAH LAH at Zabeel House, The Greens, is launching DEEP HOUSE YOGA DXB on Friday, October 2 that merges the practice with music. Held outdoors on the grass area, Yoga instructor Jes Body and DJ Charl Chaka are working closely together to create a unique musical deep house yoga flow. Priced at Dhs100 per person, the practice begins with a 15-minute warmup following by an opening yoga circle for an hour before finishing with a meditation. The doors will open from 10.45am and as there are limited spaces you have to pre-register. Remember to bring your own yoga mat, water bottle, towel and mask.
