If you thought 2020 summer was cancelled, we have some good news.
From Tuesday, June 23, UAE residents and citizens can travel to any foreign country, on the condition that the destination accepts them. Travellers are advised to follow the safety protocols of their chosen country so make sure to check if there are requested periods of self-isolation or curfews before booking.
According to the announcement made by Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management last night, you will have to fill out a ‘Health Declaration Form’ that confirms that you are clear from COVID-19 symptoms and the airline retains the right to refuse to board passengers if they show any symptoms.

Upon return to the UAE, residents will be screened for coronavirus and must register their details on the COVID-19 DXB smart app before exiting the terminal. Additionally, those returning will either have to self-isolate at home or in a hotel until the test results are received and if the result is positive you have to continue to isolate for 14 days.
The announcement was made under directives of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the follow-up of Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Another sign of things going back to normal, the news is in line with the announcement that tourists will be welcomed back in Dubai from July 7 and stranded residents can start returning from today after their ICA application has been approved.
