As fashion houses around the world have reinvented the runway for the pandemic era, Gucci is amongst the latest to take on a hybrid format, by presenting a seven-part miniseries directed by Gus Van Sant and the Italian house’s creative director, Alessandro Michele.
Entitled ‘Overture of Something That Never Ended’, the series will star international talents and friends of the house including Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Arlo Parks and Florence Welch.
Featuring 15 independent young designers, the programme will also include short fashion films including creatives such as Stefan Cooke, Mowalola, Gui Rosa, Collina Strada, Ahluwalia and many more.
It’s not the first time the Maison has gone digital, to showcase its Resort 2021 collection earlier this year, Gucci hosted a 12-hour live stream in July which included a complete behind-the-scenes run-through of the collection.
This digital and innovative digital cinema experience will take place from Monday to Sunday, November 16 to 22 on YouTube along with a dedicated site guccifest.com.
