This is where everyone in Dubai shops their Moroccan interiors

Interior escape

With the recent announcement that Emirates Airline will not be resuming it’s regular flight schedule, our holiday plans remain on hold. As a result, our attention has turned to injecting that vacation mood to our interiors.

One of the most magical and vibrant destinations in the world is Morocco. Blending traditional craftsmanship and rich colours, the country’s distinct character will deliver a sense of wanderlust to any space, and we found a Dubai-based store that can help visually transport you there.

With products designed and created in collaboration with artisans from different cities and remote villages across Morocco, Beldi Bazaar hopes to promote the authentic local craftsmanship. In addition, it stocks ethically sourced products and offers sustainable packaging.

“Our collection is carefully curated to showcase the true essence of Morocco, and any of our pieces will add a genuine splash of warmth and colour to your home atmosphere,” says founder Rita Bennani who moved to Dubai in 2017.

This isn’t a store that you come to for large pieces of furniture, but for those small touches the subtly bring character to the space. Whether it’s printed ceramics, hand painted pottery, evil eye mirrors, stripped cushions or terracotta blankets, one of a few of their carefully chosen items will carry you away to those traditional souks, brimming with history and culture.
