The UAE has ranked in the top 10 safest countries in the world.
In a new report conducted by research and analytics organisation Gallup entitled the 2020 Global Law and Order report, the UAE ranked number 10 in the list of safest countries.
Topping the list was Singapore, followed by Turkmenistan, China, Iceland, another GCC country, Kuwait, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Uzbekistan, then followed by the UAE.
The report gathered data from a whopping 144 countries to check how safe people feel in the place they call home. While the UAE had an incredible score of 92, Singapore aced the list with 97 points.
The data was gathered from 144 countries globally, and the index score calculations were based on a series of questions which included the public’s confidence in police; whether they felt safe walking home at nice; whether anyone had had something stolen in the last year; and whether in the last 12 months if they had been assaulted or mugged.
In a breakdown of the categories, the UAE ranked number four on the ‘Countries Where People Feel Safest Walking Alone’ list.
Again, Singapore came out on top, followed by Turkmenistan, Norway, the UAE, China, Kuwait, Slovenia, Tajikstan, Denmark and Saudi Arabia.
