Life is slowly returning to some resemblance of normality in Dubai amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, with parks reopening, hotels and private beaches opening up and the lifting of movement restrictions.
Public transport services including the Dubai Metro trams, buses and marine transport have also resumed, of course with precautionary measures.
Over the weekend the RTA announced the measures passengers need to take when travelling on public transport.
Such precautions include wearing a face mask at all times and observing social distancing staying two metres apart from from others.

Additionally, in all metro and tram stations, elevators can carry a maximum of two people at a time. The use of elevators are also reserved for those with mobility issues and parents with a pram.
Whilst on board public transport there are also markers in place to ensure people keep a safe distance, in turn this means fewer people will be able to ride on each service resulting in some expected delays. The RTA suggests arriving at the station you intend to travel from 30 minutes prior to your scheduled train time.
Similarly, ride-sharing services have also recommenced.
