HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, made a surprise visit to a mall in Dubai on Sunday.
In videos and photos that have been posted on social media, His Highness was seen out and about at Ibn Battuta Mall accompanied by a large entourage of other officials.
According to , the Ruler of Dubai was briefed on the precautionary measures in place in the mall, which will be in line with guidelines issued by UAE and Dubai authorities, in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
Similarly, His Highness was also reportedly informed about the current promotions that are taking place, which is perfect timing given the 23rd annual instalment of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) is currently taking place at malls and restaurants throughout Dubai.
Just recently, Sheikh Mohammed’s son, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, also made a public outing at a Dubai mall – namely Dubai Festival Mall – where he shared a sweet encounter with three young fans.
Similarly, both Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan have made appearances at popular Downtown Dubai restaurant Gaia on separate occasions.
Of course, leading by example, their highnesses have been seen wearing masks in accordance with guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
