At the heart of it, Queen Rania of Jordan is just like any other doting mother, proud of all the accomplishments of her children.
To mark her eldest son Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah of Jordan’s 26th birthday, the mum-of-four posted a message along with a never-seen-before photo of the heir presumptive to the Jordanian throne.
“Happy birthday to my eldest, Prince Al Hussein!” Queen Rania captioned a photo of Prince Hussein in his army uniform on Instagram.
Crown Prince Hussein is the eldest child of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan’s four children. Their Majesties also have Princess Iman, 23, Princess Salma, 19, and Prince Hashem, 15.
Prince Hussein was bestowed the title of His Royal Highess, Crown Prince of Jordan in July 2009, but he’s not always been the heir presumptive. For a period of time, Abdullah II’s younger half-brother was appointed the air designate, but removed this title from Prince Hazmzah in November 200.
Prince Hussien studied at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. from 2012 to 2016. His Highness went onto study at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, graduating in 2017. His father King Abdullah and his grandfather, the late King Hussein also graduated from Sandhurst.
In recent years, the Crown Prince has been playing a more prominent role in public life in Jordan and it’s been speculated by royal experts His Highness will start to become an even more prominent figure for the country both locally and internationally.
Happy 26th birthday to Prince Hussein!
