Mohamed Hadid’s ‘love letter and tribute’ to Palestine

Mohamed Hadid has taken part in a “love letter and tribute” to Palestine – a new book which will take people on a culinary journey with recipes from chefs and “inspirational Palestinians from all walks of life”.

Taking to Instagram, the father of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid shared that he had contributed to the book, which was co-authored by Farrah Abuasad and Lama Bazzari, by sharing two recipes that have been passed down from his mother.

“Two of my recipes in this book I learned from My mother that she learned from her mother Princess Khairya (khair) DAHER Al Omer Hadid she was married in 1941 to my father Anwar Mohamed Hadid,” he said.

“I learned a lot from my mother and father how to eat and what to eat and most important is to host and feed people from all Gods all religions, from the Plentiful well-cultivated earth of Palestine.”

Mohamed’s contributions account for just two of the 100 recipes in the book.

Not only will it give you some delicious cuisine to enjoy, but all proceeds from the book will be going towards youth education in refugee camps across Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan.
