Major international airline set to relaunch Dubai flights next month

As Emirates is steadily increasing their destination pool of flights out of Dubai, other airlines appear to be following suit.

With Dubai set to begin welcoming tourists back from July 7, it seems British Airways will be recommending flights to the emirate, making them one of the first airlines not based in the region to begin relaunching services to the UAE.

According to , British Airways will be relaunching flights from London Heathrow to Dubai International Airport next month on July 17, 10 days after borders officially open.

“Our current schedules show the LHR to DXB route will operate every other day from the 17th, and then daily from August 1,” a British Airways spokesperson told the publication.

However, the airline spokesperson said they were “unable to confirm at this stage what aircraft we will operate”.

Precautions in place

As for the precautions in place, similar to Emirates, British Airways will be providing all passengers with protection packs containing hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes. It’s also compulsory to wear masks at all times onboard flights, and check-in for passengers will be strictly self-service only.

For those intending to travel to Dubai, they need to ensure they have the correct medical insurance. You must also complete and print the health declaration form and download and register on the COVID-19 tracking app in Dubai.
