Lebanese star Haifa Wehbe has slammed claims she was ever married to her former manager and ex-boyfriend, Mohammed Waziri.
Last month documents surfaced online which alleged the pair had been legally married, and that Wehbe’s former manager had taken his case to the Egyptian Family Court to prove he was, in fact, married to the singer.
Wehbe denied these claims last month, and has further slammed them in a series of posts on Twitter referring to the documents as “falsified papers”.
“Today, the lawyers were present and his lawyer presented a photocopy — not an original — of the marriage certificate,” she said in an Arabic post. “My lawyer challenged the authenticity of the falsified paper and asked for the original contract.
“His lawyer replied that the original is not with him but with the plaintiff, and that he is not available currently (and he is actually standing outside with his brother and the third false witness) because he’s bringing the original contract, he asked for the session to be postponed.”
Clearly finding the whole situation amusing, the star added a laughing emoji to the end of her post.
Not only did the marriage claims surface last month, it’s been reported that the 48-year-old accused Waziri of pocketing money from her own accounts, with the alleged total being a whopping Dhs14.7 million (63 million Egyptian pounds).
