Here’s an insight of what things will look like if you go to Dubai Mall

While Dubai Mall reopened its doors on April 28 after the lifting of movement restrictions that were in place due to COVID-19, there will be many that are yet to return to the shopping centre.

There are many restrictions in place in order to ensure the health and safety of the public is upheld. Shoppers must wear a mask, and malls can only operate at a maximum of 30 per cent.

Now, as of May 9, mall-goers are required to wear gloves and are also required to undergo a temperature scan at mall entrances. As well as this, heat sensor cameras are also in operation.

Giving an insight into what it is currently like to visit the Dubai Mall, a video has been posted by Dubai Media Office.

The video showcases how under “strict precautionary health measures” the entire venue is sterilised, visitors have their temperature checked upon arrival and how infrared heat-sensing cameras are being used.

Similarly, footage shows the limit on restaurant numbers, how contactless payments are being used and how gloves need to be worn.

In order to see what it’ll be like if you decide to take a trip to Dubai Mall, watch the video below.

It should be noted shoppers are only allowed to visit malls for a maximum of three hours, social distancing practices must be adhered to and no children under 12 or people over 60 are allowed to enter malls or shopping centres.
