Dated for two years
Australian singer Cody Simpson has opened up about his relationship with Gigi Hadid, whom he dated from 2013 to 2015.
Speaking with Australian publication the in a recent interview, Simpson addressed his two-year romance with the supermodel, calling her a “strong individual”.
“I dated Gigi Hadid for two years and have always enjoyed being with independent women who are strong individuals,” he explained.
“I have never really been heartbroken in the deepest sense, but I have been disappointed in relationships.”
Before their 2015 split, the couple enjoyed a star-studded trip to Dubai to see in the new year with fellow A-list stars Kendall Jenner, Selena Gomez and Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing.
A few months later Simpson and Hadid would go on to split, and later in the year the model began dating her now boyfriend Zayn Malik, whom she has been on and off with for the last few years.
Malik, 27, and Hadid, 24, reunited earlier this year after splitting in mid-2019.
The couple confirmed they were officially back together in February on Instagram, with Gigi posting a sweet snap of her boyfriend on her ‘Gi’sposables’ account on Valentine’s Day.
Simpson, 23, is currently dating singer Miley Cyrus.
