Grab your popcorn
Through the means of social distancing, old school drive-through cinema experiences are now re-merging – we’ve literally come full circle.
You can now experience an evening out in Dubai, just like Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson from with help of Vox Cinemas Drive-In.
Mall of the Emirates has transformed its level 3 car park into a retro-style drive through venue with a large screen positioned right underneath Ski Dubai’s slope.
From May 17 you can watch the latest movie releases without having to leave your car. All you have to do is tune your radio to the provided frequency for audio and tuck into caramel popcorn, salt popcorn, nachos, M&Ms, soft drinks and water that are all included in the price of a ticket.
🏁 Grease your wheels… A new cinematic experience is coming to #VOXCinemas, Mall of the Emirates. Stay tuned. #VOXDriveIn #GreatMoments #StaySafe @MajidAlFuttaim 🎥🍿 pic.twitter.com/2DR5ls0zhp

There is capacity for 75 cars and only two people are allowed per vehicle. A parking space is allocated based on the height of your car so everyone can have a clear view of the screen.
The new venture will also stick to strict guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety, and anyone above the age of 60 as well as children between three and 12 years of age will not be permitted.
Screenings will be held at 7.30pm, with tickets priced at Dh189 per car made via online booking system. Keep an eye out for new showtimes that will be revealed every Monday. Proceeds from the first screening on Sunday, 17 May will go to the 10 Million Meals initiative.
