Emirati composer spreads important message with UAE national anthem rendition

‘Peace and solidarity’

Whilst the majority of people are currently practising social distancing and self-isolation during the coronavirus pandemic, in many ways it has unified us all in coming together to thank our health heroes, and supporting those who are struggling.

To spread more positivity into the UAE during these difficult times, Abu Dhabi composer Hamad Altaee has gathered a group of fellow musicians together to send an important message through the power of music.

Bringing together cellists, clarinet players, saxophonists and more from all over the world, they grouped together to play a rendition of the UAE national anthem whilst spreading the #StayHome message.

Posting the heartwarming rendition to Instagram, the pianist explained it was about spreading “peace and solidarity”.

“Musicians from all over the world have joined together for a beautiful rendition of the UAE national anthem to convey a message of peace and solidarity,” Altaee captioned the post of the video.

Alataee managed to get 19 musicians involved from different countries around the world, including the United Arab Emirates, the UK, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Finland, Ukraine, USA, Bulgaria, Egypt, Belgium, Philippines and Norway.

“I know lots of musicians around the world, so I came up with an idea: why don’t I play the national anthem of the UAE?” the UAE-based composer told . “Since everyone is stressed and worried about the coronavirus, we wanted to share our smiles and feel calm here in the UAE.”

So far, the heartwarming rendition of has been viewed over 23,000 times on Instagram.
