Emirates Airline launches more flights to help stranded passengers

Getting stranded passengers home

In order to help passengers stranded in the UAE, Emirates Airline has announced plans to run more flights to seven other destinations.

The announcement comes just over week after the Dubai-based airline revealed plans to recommence a handful of flights to cities including London and Frankfurt.

The airline will now fly to Tunis, Jakarta, Chicago, Taipei, Algiers, Manila and Kabul, in order to enable residents and visitors to return to their home countries.

“Only citizens of the destination country and those who meet the entry requirements will be allowed to board,” the airline stated.

During their travels, passengers must ensure they are wearing masks when at the airport and on board the aircraft, and are also “required to apply social distancing guidelines”.

Abu Dhabi airline Etihad Airways has also expanded its special passenger flights in order to help those stranded in the country to be able to return to their home nations.

The UAE-based airline will now be flying to London Heathrow, Zurich, Dublin, Brussels and Tokyo, as well as Singapore, Melbourne, Seoul, Jakarta, Amsterdam and Manila.
