While things for many have gotten incredibly difficult throughout the pandemic, these Dubai-based photographers are here to help those who may have lost their jobs due to the knock-on effects of COVID-19.
With recruiters looking to LinkedIn more and more having an up-to-date profile is of the utmost importance, along with a sharp profile photo.
To help those who are currently on the job hunt due to being made redundant from the pandemic, photographers Ales Vyslouzil and Tara Atkinson have launched an incredible initiative.
The pair have launched their ‘Project Impression Session’ whereby they are offering free sessions for those who have been left jobless to have their photo taken to get the perfect LinkedIn snap.
The longtime friends are both passionate about storytelling and portraits. Ales is an architectural photographer and Tara shoots editorial and social imagery, so you really couldn’t be in better hands.
Shoots are taking place in a studio provided by Hot and Cold, located in Al Quoz.
Speaking of the project on Instagram, Ales explains, “Most of my business is done on LinkedIn and a lot of people do go by first impressions.”
He believes, the better the photograph, the more chance you have of making an impression with potential employers.
“The better your picture is (expression, lighting, background) it tells your audience that you not only made an effort, but you invested in yourself, which is a quality that employers are looking for these days,” he says.
