This does not include Dubai
The nationwide curfew in the United Arab Emirates has been shortened by two hours.
As of Saturday, May 30, it was announced by the Ministry a lockdown from 10pm to 6am would be in place in order for the national sterlisation programme to take place.
However, this does include Dubai – the current curfew hours for the emirate are 11pm to 6am.
The reduction in curfew for Dubai and the rest of the nation comes after lockdown hours were previously in place from 8pm to 6am.
Last week, movement restrictions in Dubai were reduced per the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council unveiled the new plans starting this Wednesday in order for businesses to gradually reopen between the hours of 6am and 11pm.
However, despite the eagerness for life to return to normal, Sheikh Hamdan highlighted precautionary measures in place must still be adhered to in order for a smooth transition back to everyday life.
The country has reported a total of 33,170 confirmed COVID-19 cases, which includes 17,097 recovered cases and 260 deaths from the disease.
