Tunisian model Hanaa Ben Abdesslem has announced she is expecting her first child with husband Amerpal Lamba.
Taking to Instagram to reveal the joyous news, the 29-year-old showed off her growing baby bump in a black swimsuit poolside tagging her location in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
“The feeling of my baby heart growing inside of me is magical,” the model captioned the snap. “Words can’t describe my happiness.”
She also added she was six months along in her pregnancy.
The happy news comes just under a year after Ben Abdesslem married her now-husband in July 2019 in her home town of Nabeul, a coastal town located in northeastern Tunisia. Just three months prior in March 2019, the couple announced their engagement.
recently caught up with the model discussing her Ramadan plans, where she revealed she wasn’t able to celebrate with her family this year.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to celebrate Ramadan with my family this year because of the situation,” she said. “I will still be celebrating with a few friends and my husband on a Caribbean island.”
She also revealed to which practices were able to bring peace into her life, which will be even more important throughout her pregnancy and once she welcomes her newborn baby.
“It is about not only being where you are right now but experiencing it as well,” she explained. “Not thinking about the past, the future, all the things happening in the world.
“Asking yourself questions to come back to present moment, meditation, practicing yoga and workouts and train your mind to see the positive.”
Ben Abdesslem also added that she surrounds herself “with people who have good energy and who also think positively”.
