British pop-star Dua Lipa has been recently linked to Palestinian-American model, Anwar Hadid, younger brother to supermodels Bella and Gigi. Over the past few weeks, the two were frequently spotted together, sparking romance rumours.
The youngest Hadid sibling was previously in a relationship with actress Nicola Peltz for over a year, but they split amicably in May 2018. Meanwhile, the singer broke up with her boyfriend Isaac Carew a month later. Dua and the model-turned-chef had dated on and off for about five years, even attending the MET Gala together on May 6. However, The Sun confirmed that the relationship has ended after the two unfollowed each-other on Instagram.
So how did Anwar and Dua get together? According to TMZ, they bonded over music. In April, the 20-year-old model quietly released his debut album, and has apparently showed his work with the singer, who is friends with his sister Gigi. The outlet reported that “things really started to snowball around early June” when Anwar found out the Dua was single and “reached out to her for a date.” Sources told the site that the pair “went out, had a good time and liked each other enough to run it back.”
Moreover, dating rumours started to spread after the 23-year-old singer was spotted in a video taken at Anwar’s birthday. In the video posted to Instagram, Dua was seen dressed in an orange skirt and a tank top, laughing as Hadid held his birthday cake. The two were then spotted again at the Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards together. They didn’t walk the red-carpet together, but they were photographed getting cozy inside the event.
Things got more serious at the British Summer Time Hyde Park music festival in London, when the duo were spotted kissing. Anwar dressed casually in an olive green bomber jacket, wrapped his arms around the singer, who sported a cardigan and khaki cargo pants. The PDA took place as they watched Stevie Wonder’s set at the event. Even though photos of the rumoured couple went viral, neither one of them has publicly addressed their possible relationship status just yet.
More recently, they were also spotted in New York City after Dua performed alongside Taylor Swift at the Amazon Prime Day concert. Anwar was spotted entering the venue through the back door with his sister Gigi. Later, he and the singer were spotted out in the city together, with the pop star holding onto her beau’s arm.
