Calling all book lovers!
The annual Emirates Airline Festival of Literature is returning for another cycle next year, and with it bringing incredible literature talent. For its 11th edition, the event will run from February 4 -9 and tickets go on sale today!
This year’s event has a packed agenda, perfect for the region’s bookworms. Visitors can expect appearances from renowned figures like British explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Great British Bake Off winner and author Nadiya Hussain and children’s book author, Oliver Jeffers to name a few. The most exciting part? The UAE’s first Emirati astronaut Hazzaa AlMansouri is also set to make an appearance.
The five-day event will be held at the InterContinental at Dubai Festival City, bringing the diverse world of literature under one roof. Other appearances to look forward to includes Fatima Bhutto, the niece of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who will attend the festival to discuss her latest book, .
Moreover, five time Emmy winning cinematographer, Gavin Thurston will also be at the event, where visitors will get to hear stories about how he got to find and record the world’s most enrapturing animals. Also expected is Egyptian author Tareq Imam and Jeetendr Sehdev, who will analyse , which was named one of the year’s most persuasive books by the Huffington Post.
Ahlam Bolooki, the festival director for the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature said in an official press statement: “With the stellar line-up for the 2020 Festival, there is no better place to search for the answers, whatever your question may be. We have writers to entertain, inspire, challenge and excite people from all walks of life and of all ages.”
