City break
The Radisson Collection has added one more dynamic and iconic property to its cohort – the May Fair hotel. A chic urban retreat is located in one of the city’s swankiest enclaves and a stone’s throw from Berkeley Street’s famous restaurants and the boutiques of Bond Street.
01. After hours
For dinner we recommend you heading to the terrace, May Fair Kitchen, with a quintessentially British setting and outdoor heaters to ensure you are kept warm even on a cold British day. This lounge is everything you need to feel comfortable and boujis all at the same time. For food we recommend ordering lots of little plates, to share like Patatas bravas with garlic and paprika as well as Mexican matchstick chicken.
02. Luxe details
The May Fair Hotel is placed in the heart of one of the most fashionable districts in London. With a quirky and style-led aesthetic, the lobby is buzzing with executives and creatives and who knows you might find yourself celebrity spotting too. Each room is tailored to your needs and doesn’t present you with the usual shoe box for a room, every room is vast with space to have a guest, or two or three.
03. But first, breakfast
If there is one thing we deem important at any hotel, it’s breakfast. The May Fair Hotel does not disappoint, with an eclectic buffet, as well as an A La Carte menu. We recommend you order the French toast. But if you are counting calories, healthy options are available including avocado on toast with poached eggs (another favourite of ours) The floor to ceiling windows allow you to people watch, too.
04. Room service
After a long haul flight there is only one thing you need and that is easy access to room service. Food around the clock? You go it, just pick up the phone and put in your order. The penthouse suite is by far the most breathtaking, with vast views of London town. The décor boasts minimal meets sculptural. With every luxury you could ask for and a special entrance to and from the hotel, this suite is discreet.
05.Location, location
If you truly want to experience London then this hotel is your perfect match. For the night owl check out Annabelle’s, the private members club, for the art lover, check out Sotheby’s, for the tea lover you are a stone’s throw away from Fortnum and Mason and finally, for the fashion girl, take a walk to Liberty for exclusive pieces you definitely won’t find in any other department store.
