Toby Keith dead updates — Tributes flood in for country singer who lived out final months ‘with grace & courage’

TOBY Keith has died aged 62 following his battle with stomach cancer. A statement shared on X, formerly Twitter, said: “He fought his fight with grace and courage.”
Keith revealed in 2022 that he had been diagnosed with stomach cancer.
The singer had been receiving chemotherapy and other treatments.
Read our live blog below for the latest news and updates…
    Symptoms of stomach cancer
According to the American Cancer Society, symptoms of stomach cancer can include:

    Loss of appetite
    Weight loss (without trying)
    Abdominal pain
Feeling full after only eating a small amount of food
    Nausea
    Heartburn
Swelling or fluid build-up in the abdomen

If stomach cancer spreads to the liver, there can also be yellowing of the skin and eyes, also known as jaundice.
    Copy linkCopiedMore about stomach cancer
Like all forms of cancer, stomach cancer can be fatal if not detected early.
If the illness has not spread outside the stomach, the five-year survival rate is 70 percent, according to the American Cancer Society.
But if the disease has spread to surrounding tissues or organs, the five-year survival rate drops to 32 percent.
The early stages of stomach cancer are often harder to catch because they rarely cause symptoms, so it is always recommended to get routine cancer screenings, especially if there is a family history of the disease.
