      Adan Canto death updates — Designated Survivor star shared heartbreaking final ‘blessed’ post with wife and kids

      ADAN Canto, the Mexican-American actor who went from musician to Hollywood leading man, shared a heartbreaking final post before his death. On Father’s Day last year, Canto took to Instagram to share a beautiful family photo, featuring his wife Stephanie Ann, and their two kids, Eve Josephine and Roman Alder.
      The four of them are pictured laying on a blanket in the grass in the post captioned, “Happy Father’s Day! I’ve been blessed with mine.”
      The singer-turned-actor reportedly died following a private battle with appendicial cancer. He was best known for his role as Aaron Shore in Designated Survivor.
      Canto most recently portrayed the male lead for the first two seasons of Fox’s drama series The Cleaning Lady and was slated to return for the third.
      He was 42 at the time of his death.

      Many of Adan Canto’s fans are taking to X, previously known as Twitter, to express their sadness at the actor’s death.
      “He was one of the best parts of Designated Survivor. RIP,” said one user under a Pop Crave tweet about the actor’s death.
      “OMG WHAAAAAT?!!” exclaimed another commenter.

      Fox pays tribute
      Fox has shared a statement after the death of Adan Canto, who played mobster Arman Morales in Fox’s The Cleaning Lady.
      “He’ll always be our Arman,” Fox shared on social media.
      “Adan Canto, your memory will be cherished forever. We grieve alongside Adan’s family, friends, and fans.”
      Adan’s cause of death
      Adan died on January 8. 2024 after battling appendiceal cancer.
      He was 42.
      It is unknown how long he was fighting the disease.
      What to know about Stephanie Canto
      2012 saw the meeting of Adan and Stephanie Ann Canto. She first got to know the late actor in Brooklyn, New York, where he was filming The Following.
      Since 2012, she has worked as a teacher at the New York Film Academy on a number of occasions in addition to acting sometimes.
      In addition to teaching ceramics, Stephanie has experience as a painter and sculptor.
      In 2014, the couple worked together as co-stars on a short film called Before Tomorrow.
      The two tied the knot in June 2017 and lived together in the Hollywood Hills.

      Held in the arms of José-Luis Narváez, a dentist, and Marlyn Canto-Narváez, a homemaker and singer, Canto was born in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico.
      Canto was born and reared in Mexico, but as a child, he traveled over the border every day to attend an American Catholic school in Del Rio, Texas.
      His father was a charro, and he spent his childhood riding horses at his grandfather’s estate in Acuña.

      GLYNIS Johns, the iconic actress who first sang Stephen Sondheim’s Send in the Clowns, has died at age 100, her publicist confirmed.Johns’ manager, Mitch Clem, said the Mary Poppins actress, who played Mrs. Winifred Banks in the hit 1964 film, died of natural causes Thursday at an assisted living home in Los Angeles, California.
      “Today’s a sad day for Hollywood,” Clem said.
      “She is the last of the last of old Hollywood.”
      Fans are taking to social media to remember the legend for her performance in Mary Poppins as well as her role of Desiree Armfeldt in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music, which saw her sing the iconic song, Send in the Clowns, after the composer wrote it to suit her voice.

      DIXIE Chicks founding member Laura Lynch has reportedly died in a tragic car crash. Mick Lynch, the cousin of the musician, told TMZ that Laura tragically lost her life on Friday, just outside of El Paso, Texas, shortly after sunset.
      She was reportedly driving from El Paso to the nearby Dell City, approximately an hour and a half to the East, when the unfortunate incident occurred.
      Reports indicate that she was involved in a collision while traveling on a highway.
      The singer was best known for having co-founded music group The Dixie Chicks with Robin Lynn Macy, Martie Erwin, and Emily Erwin in 1989.
      Laura was 65 at the time of her reported death.

      Joey Jordison joined the group in 1995
      Joey Jordison was also a founding member of the group, joining when Slipknot formed back in 1995.
      The drummer, also known as #1, stayed in the band until December 12, 2013, when it was announced he left the band due to personal reasons but in a 2016 interview, he revealed he was fired.
      “All I got was a stupid f***ing email saying I was out of the band that I busted my a** my whole life to f***ing create,” Jordison told Metal Hammer.
      In 2016, Jordison revealed that he was diagnosed with transverse myelitis, a disease that causes inflammation in the spinal cord and as a result, Jordison lost the use of his legs.
      The 46-year-old died on July 26, 2021.

      Why do Slipknot wear masks?
      During the band’s early days, percussionist Shaun “Clown” Crahan would turn up to rehearsals wearing a clown mask, inspiring his nickname.
      By 1997, the band decided every member should wear a unique mask.
      Frontman Corey Taylor told Kerrang! Radio in February 2020: “I give a lot of credit to Clown. His imagination, his vision in a lot of ways has helped shaped this for so many years.
      “Obviously, we contribute and do our part but his unifying vision in a lot of ways has helped us maintain that risk, that look, that attention to detail. So even when we do big things like a reveal on the internet for new outfits, new masks and stuff, it’s still a big deal.

      Drummer quits the band
      Since their last UK show, Slipknot have parted ways with drummer Jay Weinberg, who has played with the band since the departure of Joey Jordison in 2013.
      The Grammy-winning band made the announcement in a post on their official website last month.
      “We would like to thank Jay Weinberg for his dedication and passion over the past ten years,” the statement read. “No one can ever replace Joey Jordison’s original sound, style, or energy, but Jay honored Joey’s parts and contributed to the last three albums and we, the band, and the fans appreciate it.”
