Brit Awards 2024 LIVE — Nominations in full as RAYE and Dua Lipa to perform at tonight’s star-studded show

THE biggest names in British music and showbiz will descend on London’s o2 Arena tonight for the 2024 Brit Awards.

It could be a historic night for RAYE, with the pop sensation up for a record-breaking SEVEN awards.

She’s going head-to-head with other beloved artists such as Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Lewis Capaldi, Blur and Little Simz on a night that promises to show off the best of British music.

And between the awards, some of the biggest stars from around the globe will perform, including pop legend Kylie Minogue.

The 2024 Brit Awards air on ITV1 and ITVX from 8:30pm tonight.

  • Who won Artist of the Year in 2023?

    Harry Styles dominated the 2023 Brit Awards.

    The former One Direction star won four gongs in all, including Artist of the Year.

    RAYE can surpass this tonight with the singer earning a stunning seven nominations.

  • Who is RAYE?

    RAYE was born in Tooting, South London, on October 24, 1997.

    RAYE — real name Rachel Keen — attended the prestigious Brit School in Croydon, following in the footsteps of Adele and Amy Winehouse, before dropping out.

    Raye released her first single, Flowers, in 2015.

    She went on to write for other musicians and feature on a number of singles by high-profile artists like Jonas Blue and Jax Jones.

    In 2023, Raye went viral on TikTok and Instagram with her hit song Escapism. which went to number one in the UK, and made it into the top ten in over twenty other countries.

  • Who is hosting the Brit Awards?

    Three hosts will take to the O2 tonight for the 2024 Brit Awards.

    Maya Jama will be joined by Roman Kemp and Clara Amfo for hosting duties.

    “When they told me, I cried,” said Roman of the moment he found out he would be hosting tonight’s show.

    “The Brits has always been on this pedestal for me, because in terms of excitement in the UK, there is nothing like it.”

  • RAYE hoping to bring home best R&B act award

    RAYE is up for a record-breaking seven awards tonight, one of which is the best R&B act.

  • Madonna’s fall

    Another iconic moment from Brit Awards past is Madonna’s viral fall.

    Near the beginning of her 2015 performance, the pop icon had a mishap with her cape and fell directly on her backside.

    That didn’t stop her from putting on a show though, she got straight up and kept singing.

    She is Madonna after all…

  • 2023 was Harry’s year at the Brits

    Harry Styles was centre stage during last year’s show.

    Harry opened the show with an energetic version of his hit As It Was, wearing an open-chested glitzy red jacket.

    But his night didn’t end there.

    The music star managed to get his hands on multiple awards.

    Harry picked up all four of the gongs he was nominated for including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop/RnB Act.

  • When Oasis and the Spice Girls clashed

    In what is perhaps the Brits Awards’ most iconic feud, pop clashed with Brit pop as the Spice Girls and Oasis went head to head.

    Ahead of the 1997 ceremony, Liam Gallagher had made his feelings about the beloved girl group very clear.

    He told the press he could not attend the Brits as if he bumped into the Spice Girls he would “smack them.”

    When the girl band won British Single of the Year, Sporty Spice snapped back.

    Mel C took the mic and said: “I just want to say, Liam, come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough!”
