Dilby gets together a selection of amazing electronic dance music

DILBY is an artist that continues to set fire to my inbox. We caught up with the prolific producer at the end of last year for a great chat and he recorded an amazing mix for The Night Bazaar Sessions. Read the interview and listen to Dilby’s mix HERE.CLICK OR TAP IMAGE TO READ OUR INTERVIEW WITH DILBY AND LISTEN TO HIS EXCLUSIVE MIX FOR THE NIGHT BAZAAR SESSIONSAs Dilby continues his mission releasing music that delights and excites dance floors across the world, with his latest release Get Together currently doing the business, we caught up with him again. This time he compiled and talked us through a playlist of dance music favourites, including his current track Get Together.Dilby – Get Together [Déepalma]My latest outing on Déepalma from southern Germany is a grooving house jam that has been doing the business in my sets for sometime now. Perfect timing to welcome in the warmer weather and party season.[embedded content]Echomen – Substance [Forensic Records]This is an absolute classic in my opinion and a record that still inspires me now. I would consider Echomen a direct precursor to my sound and a constant point of reference for my work in the studio. Echomen were also part of influential groups including Lexicon Avenue, Mooncat, and Happy Clappers. I may or may not have an official remix of this track in the works…[embedded content]Bario Bros – Hold On To Your Love (Warehouse Mix) [Shaboom]If you could imagine a musical representation of the phrase “good vibes” it would sound like this. Bario Bros was an alias of Joeski and Onionz, two absolute legends from the US house scene. Hold On To Your Love brings back great memories of a wasted youth spent roaming around club dancefloors. [embedded content]Dilby – The Station feat. DNCN [8bit Records]Most read in MusicThe Station is a track from my recent EP on Gorge and Nick Curly’s label 8bit. DNCN is a super talented vocalist and has worked with the likes of Maceo Plex and Riva Starr to name a few. The track has been a standout in my sets since we wrote it at the start of summer 2023. I’m very proud of this one![embedded content]DJ Deep – What’s Going On [COD3 QR]This is such an understated bomb. It’s got the right combination of good vibes and a hypnotic groove. The bunchy sub bass, fantastic drums and deep synth chords just roll along perfectly.[embedded content]Silicone Soul – Chic-O-Laa (H-Foundation Remix) [Soma Records]H-Foundation (aka Hipp-E & Halo Varga) reworked Silicone Soul’s disco-sampling house  record into a twisted, driving, tribal workout which destroyed many a dancefloor around 2000 when it was released. In all honesty this track is here to represent the sound I first fell in love with and could just as easily be a track from Peace Division, John Creamer & Stephane K, Oscar G & Ralph Falcon, Joeski, Chris Lum or countless others. It feels and sounds like home![embedded content]Tom Evans, Bruno Blanc, Monochrome – Play It Twice (Dilby Remix) [Valiant]It was an absolute pleasure to remix this record. The original has such a cool, classic style to it and I enjoyed every second of working on the project. It’s made quite a splash, which is always nice to see. It’s been sitting on the Deep House Top 10 on Beatport and reached number 5 in the ARIA Club Charts (Australia’s version of Billboard). [embedded content]Jerome Sydenham & Dennis Ferrer – Sandcastles (Pete Heller Re-Edit) [Ibadan Records]Pete Heller is undoubtedly best known for his timeless hit Big Love. But he is also one of the most prolific and influential producers of the last 25 years and did everything from filtered disco to tribal to deep house and back again. I just love the depth and musicality of this record and I consider it a timeless classic.[embedded content]Jamie Stevens & Anthony Pappa – Here We Go [Selador]This track just ticks all the boxes for me. It has a feel very akin to the music that got me into DJing and writing house records but is expertly crafted to sound bang up to date. As a producer I can often listen to a song and have a pretty good understanding of how it’s been constructed but this track has so many layers and details which have all been meticulously tweaked to perfection. It’s an absolute masterclass!READ MORE SUN STORIESCrazy P – Give It Up ( Laid Mix ) [Paper Recordings]I just love this funky, loopy, trippy, space-disco vibe of this record. Crazy P are such a cool live act and the original is actually a very cool soulful house song. Laid who did the remix is actually an alias of Stockholm’s Zoo Brazil, one of my favourite artists to this day. I still play this as a closing track in my sets from time to time.[embedded content] More

JLS star Oritsé Williams’ former mansion has been transformed into a luxury home after it was damaged in a fire. The singer lost around £2.5million after he sold his Croydon mansion for just £500,000 four years ago.The £3million mansion was left ravaged after a massive fireCredit: Dan Charity – The SunOrtisse Williams was the founding member of the boy band JLSCredit: GettyAn artist’s impression of what the house could look like once it is completedCredit: @Richard Elliot Architects/London Borough of CroydonA pool house was proposed as part of the renovation plansCredit: Not known, clear with picture deskAerial pictures showing the collapsed roof and blown-out windowsCredit: Dan Charity – The SunYet, the new owners of the property are rebuilding and have already begun transforming the house. The entire exterior of the house is being rebuilt, including the installation of new modern windows, while the roof, which was damaged in the fire, has been restored with maroon tiling.Solar panels have also been installed on top of the property which is currently a building site. The artist bought the house for £3million over a decade ago which used to be owned by Ronnie Corbett.read more on Oritsé WilliamsHowever, a suspected arson attack destroyed the property. The mansion had previously looked abandoned after the roof of the house had been destroyed by the fire and grass could be seen growing through the carpet of the hallway staircase.Ariel’s photographs taken in 2020 showed a collapsed roof, blown-out windows and a charcoaled interior. It is clear from the construction work that the new owners are keen to put their stamp on the house. Most read in ShowbizThe outdoor swimming pool and parts of the back garden are also undergoing redevelopment.Inside the property, planning applications suggest it will include a games room, shrine and a cinema. The London Borough of Croydon refused the owner’s application for a proposed rear extension and a pool house and said it was “inappropriate development”.The new owners submitted another development application requesting permission for a new single-storey extension.Colin Smith, 36, an urban explorer, had previously visited the £3million property after it had been destroyed in the fire. His footage showed the full extent of damage the fire had done with a solid marble countertop one of the only things recognisable in a sea of rubble. A safe for valuables also survived the fire but upstairs had been completely gutted.More than 70 firefighters tackled the blaze that engulfed Oritsé Williams’ house in 2019.Luckily, no one was injured but police launched an investigation after revealing they were treating the fire as suspicious. However, police couldn’t connect anyone to a potential arson attack and the investigation was closed.Ronnie Corbett’s Widow, Anne Hart, said she had considered buying the property where she had lived for 33 years but was left devastated once she learnt it had been damaged.”I’m heartbroken and Ronnie would be too,” she said.READ MORE SUN STORIESCouncillor Robert Ward, who represents Selsdon and Addington Village on Croydon Council admitted that he was delighted to see the property being restored after it had been left “derelict for some time”.Who is Oritsé Williams?
Oritse Williams, 37, is a singer-songwriter and record producer from London.
He soared to success with bandmates Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and JB Gill as their group, JLS, became one of the breakout acts of 2008.
They shot to fame after finishing runners-up on X Factor
Oritse was the founding member, teaming up with Marvin who had music business experience.
The band had four UK top three albums as well as five UK number one singles.
After releasing a greatest hits compilation in late 2013, followed by a farewell arena tour across the UK, the group split, playing their final gig at the 02 in London in December 2013.
The band reunited last year in what was their biggest tour in the groups career.
JLS sold more than 10million records across the world and were at one point the UK’s biggest boyband.
When was Oritsé Williams cleared of rape?
On September 12, 2018, Oritse was charged with raping a fan.
He and a friend were accused of a sex attack in 2016 on a waitress, 20, after a Wolverhampton gig. He denied it.
On May 28, 2019, the singer was unanimously cleared of rape at Wolverhampton Crown Court after around two hours and 17 minutes of deliberation.
His tour manager Jamien Nagadhana was also cleared of two sexual assault charges.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place after a concert at the Gorgeous Club to promote his solo album Waterline at Ramada Park Hall hotel.
Williams, of Croydon, South London, pleaded not guilty to rape during a court hearing in November last year.
Nagadhana, also 32, from Hounslow, West London, denied a charge of assault by penetration.

Inside the nastiest celeb neighbour rows
    By Dan Cain
MILLIONS of pounds might be able to buy a dream home – but it doesn’t guarantee a smooth ride with neighbours.
Just ask the likes of Robbie Williams, Gordon Ramsay, Billie Faiers and Holly Willoughby who are just a few of the celebs that have clashed with other homeowners and local councils over their property plans.
We dive into some of the most high-profile planning fall outs of recent years:
    Robbie Williams
POP icon Robbie’s ownership of a huge south west London pad hasn’t been without its headaches.
Most recently he’s felt the ire of a neighbour objecting to a proposal to trim some of the property’s trees which are said to be blocking light into the building.
Robbie, 49, wants to prune 14 plants but has been branded a “vandal” because of it.
A neighbour wrote to planners: “Hello there, I think these trees should be left as chopping down healthy trees is an act of environmental vandalism.
“Shame on anyone wanting to destroy our leafy friends. They give us life – we should respect theirs.”
Previously Robbie clashed with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy over plans to renovate his £17.5million Grade II listed mansion.
The rocker argued unsuccessfully that vibrations could damage ancient paintings and frescoes in his home, where he has lived for over 50 years.
    Gordon Ramsay
Gordon’s idyllic Cornish bolt hole has been soured in recent years due to a backlash from locals during the coronavirus pandemic.
Gordon’s issues with Cornwall started in 2020 when he, wife Tana and their five kids upped sticks from London to live in their £4million holiday home.
They made the 246 mile trip when people could be fined for any non-essential travel and were urged not to stay in their second homes.
He was called “disgusting” and accused of “flouting government rules” by one local, despite the star insisting he had done nothing wrong at the time.
They raged: “Don’t you realise that by doing that you’ve possibly brought the virus with you and because Cornwall is not your main residence, if you and your family get sick you will place yet more strain on an already fragile infrastructure.
“I’m reporting you to the police. What you’ve done is against the law and I hope they force you back to London.”
The furore led Gordon to say he hates the Cornish people.
    Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan
Mark and Michelle are happily living inside their £3.5million dream Essex home but the process wasn’t without its hiccups.
They had to amend plans along the way and, to their credit, dealt with all the setbacks in the right manner.
Their parish council previously objected to the size of the project and the height of proposed security gates and walls.
Planning documents said: “This new amended application further increases the size of the dwelling, and the Parish Council feels that these proposed changes increase the size of the dwelling over the original dwelling size to such a degree that it would, for reasons of its bulk and size, now represent an unacceptable increase and as such have a detrimental impact on the green belt.”
However, it wasn’t long before the proposal was deemed suitable and work quickly commenced.
There was more strife when plans to bolster security at the property, turning it into a ‘fortress’, were rejected due to the proposed 2.1metre boundary wall being deemed out of keeping with the area. More
