Thanks to Sheikh Hamdan, our weekend plans are sorted

Whenever we’re in doubt in how to spend our days off in Dubai, we always find that going for something that has a royal seal of approval never fails to impress.

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, already has a pretty good taste when it comes to eating at some of the best restaurants in Dubai, but many also know him as an action man regularly embarking on new adventures.

Last weekend he voyaged out on a fishing expedition with his family and friends, sharing his experience on Instagram as he caught fish, drove the boat like a pro and snacked on some watermelon to cool off from the summer heat.

The UAE royal clearly wanted to take advantage of easing of the lockdown restrictions. In the past weeks beaches have reopened, as have the hotel pools, 100 per cent of the private sector can return to work and there are even more flights on Emirates out of Dubai.

On June 1, Sheikh Hamdan took to Twitter to share words of positivity with his followers, writing:

“Past experiences have strongly motivated us to work hard & succeed. We will emerge stronger & more determined than before, and show the world a model of flexibility, and ability to overcome crises and transform challenges into opportunities.”

Looks like we are going fishing this weekend
