Fancy staying in Dubai’s only mountain resort?

It’s virtually impossible to run out of staycation options in Dubai, but if you’re seeking something different from the usual beach resort setup, then this hotel offers a very different backdrop.

JA Hatta Fort Hotel is nestled among the captivating Hajar Mountains and is just a 90-minute picturesque drive out of central Dubai. The intimate resort only has 53 deluxe rooms and villas, offering a break from the crowds in a unique setting.

The hotel will start offering staycation from June 21 which will all include free archery lessons for kids and complimentary movie nights, as well as plenty of activities for adults to enjoy. Just show up with your summer-ready wardrobe and prepare to be spoilt.

Despite its boutique style, there are numerous activities to keep you busy. If you want to melt away the summer heat, then take advantage of the two chilled pools at the resort. Those who can’t keep still can entertain themselves with crazy golf, tennis, archery, rifle shooting or visiting the shaded mini zoo to see the new baby deer, goats, peacocks and tortoises.

We highly recommend venturing beyond the hotel to check out some of the local attractions such as kayaking and pedal-boat rides at Hatta Dam, and the honeybee farm.

Wine and dine at one of the two restaurants, Jeema and Café Gazebo, that serve a range of homely international dishes.
