The most romantic venues in the UAE to propose

    Lifestyle

    by Team Emirates Woman

With Valentine’s Day soon approaching, you might want to pop the question.
A proposal is an extremely personal and intimate moment between a couple. More often than not, those couples know either how they want to propose or how they would like to be proposed to.
With that said if you’re struggling for ideas or have only just begun to think about proposing, Emirates Woman has curated a guide to the most romantic places to propose in the UAE. As some inspiration as each couple is individual and romance means something different, however, if you use any of these ideas… you’re welcome!
    Burj Al Arab heli-pad

World-renowned hotel, the Burj Al Arab has become the backdrop to many a Dubai proposal. However, you can up the romance and wow factor by selecting the 7-star hotel’s helipad as your proposal location. The helipad has played host to an array of events over the years so why not add your proposal to the list. A bespoke experience that can be as intimate or extravagant as you like, with breathtaking views of the Dubai skyline, a proposal here is sure to be a story you can’t wait to share.
    Sunrise hot air balloon

There is only one time of day more romantic than sunset and that is sunrise. There is something special about watching a new day begin and it’s even more magical if viewed from a private hot air balloon. A calm early morning over the Arabian desert with the golden shades of the sunrise, combined with an intimate and private moment as you pop the question, would there be a better way to start your engagement day?
Beach villa on Zaya Nurai Island

If ultimate privacy and a dose of luxury is your idea of romance then staying the night in a Beach Villa on Nurai Island is just that. A private island a short boat ride off the coast of Abu Dhabi that offers bespoke romantic packages. The villa can be decorated to your taste and an itinerary can be made to make your stay memorable, no matter when or how you decide to propose. You can plan your day how you choose; massages, relaxing poolside, a candle-lit beachside dinner before hopping into a rose-petal bath with ocean views.
    A private yacht charter

Yacht charters are a common activity in Dubai, usually with groups of friends to spend the day in the sun and having fun. However, this Dubai pastime can become super romantic and luxurious. Charter a yacht privately for a proposal with Dubai Yachting and they will fine-tune all the romantic details to create your dream proposal. Professional crew, fine-dining with a personal chef, romantic decor and a glittering Dubai skyline create a memorable experience.
    Ossiano – Atlantis

Ossiano may seem cliché yet there are few places around the world like this fine-dining restaurant, making it a unique place to propose. A floor-to-ceiling aquarium and the best seafood in Dubai, alone are enough for a memorable and immersive experience, add asking the most important question in life to the equation and you have a unique and romantic evening, you’ll never forget.
    Sonara Camp

Embracing the UAE’s desert landscape in the sand dunes has long been a spot for proposals. Yet Sonara Camp adds another dimension and level of romance. Willing to help you make your proposal idea a reality, Sonara will truly make this a special occasion and can even arrange a photographer and drone to capture the event. After your proposal glamping in the desert, enjoy dinner created by French Chef, Franck Sanna and stargaze (alone or with an astronomer) before returning to your private luxury tent. The next morning indulge in a Thai massage or have some fun sandboarding.
    One&Only Royal Mirage

Indulge in abundant space, luxurious rooms and suites, nine inspiring restaurants, and dramatic, Arabesque architecture at One&Only Royal Mirage with immaculate gardens, for you to instantly feel at home while you lead down to the one-kilometre sweep of Jumeirah Beach and dream of a magical glamorous evening.
    For more information visit oneandonlyresorts.com
Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa

Inspired by the Bedouin setup from back in the day, amidst the dunes lies one of Dubai’s most romantic hotels with its sumptuous tents complete with their own private pools, handcrafted furnishing and its very own butler service. With all the privacy you need, this luxurious getaway is definitely a romantic staycation for all.

    Moon Retreat

Developed by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), the eco-friendly destination will be the ideal place for a unique overnight stay for those who love the desert or who want to experience what “glamping” has to offer. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this chic spot is the perfect spot to ask the love of your life to marry you. As for activities, guests can enjoy stargazing at night and during the day hikes through the incredible landscapes of Mleiha or visit the Mleiha Archaeological Centre, making it the perfect getaway.
