Phillip Schofield was still married to his wife Stephanie Lowe at the time of the affair.
He opened up about being gay in 2020, but remained married to his wife, who he wed in 1993.
It’s understood the younger This Morning worker who Phillip had an affair with is not a public figure and did not want the relationship to be made public – he was also not underage.
Addressing the affair in a statement, Phillip apologised, and said: “The first thing I want to say is: I am deeply sorry for having lied to them, and to many others about a relationship that I had with someone working on This Morning.

“I did have a consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague at This Morning.
“Contrary to speculation, whilst I met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to help him to get into television, it was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than just a friendship.
“That relationship was unwise, but not illegal. It is now over.”
    Who is Phillip Schofield?
Philip Schofield has been working in TV and radio since he was 19 years old.

When he announced his shock exit from the show in May 2023, Phil made no mention of Holly in his statement.
He said: “I’ve always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.
“Throughout my career in TV — including the very difficult last few days — I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.
“I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
“So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope the show can move forward to a bright future.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me — especially This Morning’s amazing viewers — and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month.”
Holly kept her statement brief, saying: “It’s been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour. The sofa won’t feel the same without him.”
What does the ITV report about Phillip Schofield say?
On December 7, 2023, it was revealed that Phillip refused to take part in the ITV review that was launched after his affair with a colleague, it has today been revealed.
The report also said that the runner who Phil had an affair with also did not want to assist as they “wanted to move on with his life and was not prepared to assist with” .
The report also today revealed that of the 48 people interviewed only one person knew of the affair before May – and they were only told two years prior.
The findings also suggest that one person is not Holly Willoughby as they were a junior at ITV.
The report was conducted by Jane Mulcahy KC who wrote: “Only one person to whom I spoke had any knowledge of an affair between PS and PX prior to May 2023 (they became aware in 2021) and that former junior employee did not report their knowledge at the time.

The couple didn’t comment at the time but in 2013, SJP addressed the rumours, telling Harper’s Bazaar: “People have asked me about my marriage, ‘How do you make it work,’ and I say, ‘We don’t talk about it.’ That’s not really true. It’s sort of a nasty response.”

She added: “I love Matthew Broderick. Call me crazy, but I love him.”
In an 2010 episode of the american edition of Who Do You Think You Are?, Sarah discovered she has a rel-life connection to her character.

When SJP was made exec producer of the series, with a salary of £270k per episode, furious Kim asked for more money causing a rift with her co-stars who “wouldn’t even sit with [Kim] at mealtimes”.
By the time they made Sex and The City 2 in 2009, SJP and Kim were reportedly no longer speaking, making everyone on set “uncomfortable”.
    Bette Midler

An LGBTQ icon, she found herself in hot water earlier last year when she was forced to defend comments about women’s rights that activists slammed as transphobic.
“They don’t call us ‘women’ anymore; they call us ‘birthing people’ or ‘menstruators’, and even ‘people with vaginas’!” the 77-year-old actor tweeted.

The child star is now an unrecognisable 40-year-oldCredit: Alamy/Rex
Thora Birch was a successful child star when she landed the role of eight-year-old Dani.
Her parents, both adult movie actors, were persuaded to let her audition for roles after a babysitter spotted her natural acting ability aged four.
After Hocus Pocus she starred as Harrison Ford’s daughter in Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger before taking a three year break from the screen, resurfacing to play Kevin Spacey’s disillusioned daughter in the 1999 movie American Beauty.
But her career took a nose dive shortly afterwards.
In 2010 she was fired from the off-Broadway theatrical revival of Dracula after it was alleged her father and manager Jack had physically threatened one of the other actors. The sacking left her, she said, “in a state of shock”.
She has since blamed her problems on Hollywood’s failure to accept her as she was, and her own refusal to “conform”.
“I tried to walk a fine line between being alluring and somewhat glamorous but maintain a strong identity and pursue things that were a little more thoughtful, and I guess nobody really wanted women to do that at that time,” she told the Guardian.
Now unrecognisable from the child star she was, the 40-year-old has recently starred in The Walking Dead and is currently starring in Wednesday, the Addams Family spin off.

Where Benefits Street cast are now – from £50k reality show gig to cocaine bust, catwalk modelling and tragic deaths

IT was the infamous show that gave viewers a no holds barred look at life on the breadline for residents on an ordinary Birmingham street.Benefits Street viewers were fascinated by the lives of characters like White Dee, Black Dee, Fungi and 50p Man.

But they all had very different fortunes after the show ended in 2015 after a year on screen.
From arrests to tragic deaths, here we take a look at what the residents of James Turner Street did next.
    White Dee
After the show aired, Dee, now 52, went on to appear on TV debates and was asked to speak at the Conservative Party conference.
In 2014 she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, for which she claims she was paid around £50,000.

She even appeared on The Jeremy Kyle Show before it was axed to reveal how fame didn’t make her rich – and admitted she tried to kill herself.
She revealed on the show she’d suffered vile trolling about her mixed-race kids, Caitlin and Gerrard.
She said: “I’ve never, ever experienced any racial abuse in my life until… [the show started].
“And some of the threats aimed at me, and some of my children because of their colour, was disgusting.”

Dee later moved out of James Turner Street to nearby Handsworth, which she says is one of her biggest regrets.
She previously said: “The show ripped apart my life at the time.
“It changed my life forever and it destroyed the James Turner Street I knew before the show.”
The mum-of-two told BirminghamLive: “We were just left to deal with the fallout.”
Channel 4 disputed the claims, saying: “Psychological support was offered to all those featured in the series throughout the filming, during transmission and beyond.”
Love Productions were contacted for comment but did not respond to the publication’s requests.
Earlier this year Dee was spotted on a night out in Birmingham, with fans remarking she looked unrecognisable.
She stopped for photos, showing off a lighter head of hair than her usual dark brown look, and posed outside a pub signalling a sign that read ‘White Dee from Benefit Street’.
    Black Dee

Samora Roberts – also known as Black Dee – was jailed for seven years in January 2016 for possessing live ammunition and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
But that wasn’t the first time the 42-year-old had been in trouble with police.
She was originally arrested in June 2013 when 38-calibre Smith and Wesson cartridges were found during police raids on her home.
The bullets were stashed in a shoe inside a laundry basket at her home.
Samora was one of the first Benefits Street residents to hit out at Channel 4 producers for “exploiting” locals.
She had a public spat with former pal White Dee, claiming she was a “sell-out” for appearing on Celebrity Big Brother.
    Smoggy AKA 50p Man

Door-to-door salesman Smoggy, real name Stephen Smith, became affectionately known as ’50p Man’ after selling cut-price household wares to the residents of Benefits Street.
His entrepreneurial spirit captured the attention of millionaire Charlie Mullins, who offered him a £10,000 deal to open a 50p discount store to rival Poundland.
Unfortunately, they fell out and the business venture did not happen.
Charlie claimed Smoggy, 47, could have become a millionaire and blamed “bad advice from people around him” for the deal falling through.
Stephen previously spent four months in Birmingham’s Winson Green prison in 2010.

Sherrell Dillion, known as SB, was seen on the show trying to launch her modelling career while being a single mum-of-two – and she actually managed it.
Sherrell, 36, has modelled all over the world, and even appeared in a Big Narstie music video.
Last year she told Birmingham Live: “I received some really good exposure from my appearance on Benefits Street. I think people could see I was doing my best as a single mum trying to forge out a career in modelling.
“It took a lot of hard work and dedication but I did get my break and before lockdown I was travelling abroad carrying out modelling assignments.
“I have modelled in London, Paris and Milan. I modelled at London Pacific Fashion Week and was a model at the Black Hair Awards which was one of my favourite jobs.
“Before lockdown I also appeared in several music videos including a video with rapper Big Narstie. It was so much fun.”
    James ‘Fungi’ Clarke

Former crack cocaine addict James ‘Fungi’ Clarke moved to Cardiff to escape the attention he received after Benefits Street aired.
Still battling booze and drug addictions, a fan later paid £12,000 for him to go to rehab.
James signed with agent Barry Tomes, who had also represented White Dee, and took part in a magazine shoot to show off his new look.
However, Barry ended their professional relationship three months later saying James had “disappeared off the planet”.
Tragically, on July 1, 2019, it was reported James had died of a heart attack at the age of 50, apparently triggered by a drug overdose.
He had been living in a house for recovering drug addicts in Birmingham in his final months, and downing up to five litres of cider a day.

His body was discovered by an ambulance crew at a home in Stockton, where the second series of the programme was filmed.

FANS of boxing smash hit Rocky are paying tribute to star Burt Young, who died at the age of 83. The actor played the underdog fighter’s brother-in-law and best friend Paulie Pennino in six of the iconic films, including one that earned him an Academy Award nomination.

Burt admitted he was initially skeptical about the Rocky role because “boxing movies weren’t fashionable” but signed up after reading the “beautifully and eloquently” written script.
The 1976 flick made Sylvester Stallone a household name and launched a film franchise that has endured to this day thanks to the spin-off series Creed, which stars Michael B Jordan.
Today, Sly, 77, paid tribute to Burt, describing him as an “incredible [man] and artist” and added: “I and the World will miss you very much… RIP.”
As fans and co-stars remember the late actor, we look at what happened to the rest of the cast from the early Rocky movies.

Stallone wrote and starred in Rocky, which earned £125 million at the box office – a runaway smash hit in 1976.
It was nominated for 10 Oscars and won three, including Best Picture, but Stallone walked away with just his acting fee after failing to secure the rights.
It still remains a bone of contention with the actor, who recently blasted filmmaker Irwin Winkler, who has made a fortune from the franchise.
But the film catapulted Stallone into superstardom and he went on to win iconic roles in Rambo and Demolition Man.

Stallone’s love life has been rocky.  His first marriage to photographer Sasha Czack in 1974 ended 11 years later.
He cheated on Sasha with American actress Susan Anton – despite having two children: Seargeoh, 44, who played Balboa’s baby in Rocky II, and Sage, who tragically died of heart disease aged 36 in 2012.
Seargeoh was diagnosed with autism aged three and Stallone and Czack have both worked with charities supporting children with the condition.
Ten months after splitting from Sasha he wed statuesque model Brigitte Nielson who reportedly introduced herself to him by sending a saucy pic of herself to his hotel room.
She starred with him in Rocky IV in 1985 and Creed II in 2018 but their marriage only lasted 19 months.
Stallone has been wed to model Jennifer Flavin since 1997 but their relationship has been rocky.
The couple, who met when she was 19 and he was in his early 40s, split for the first time in 1994 before they tied the knot – when he dumped her via a FedEx.
Jennifer later discovered she had been dumped over Stallone’s affair with supermodel Janice Dickinson. He was widely rumoured to be the father of her baby daughter but when a paternity test revealed he wasn’t, he dropped her.
Stallone and Jennifer reconciled and had a daughter, Sophia, in 1996, who runs the Favorite Book Club account with 1.5 million followers on Instagram.
Sistine Rose followed in 1998 and Scarlet in 2002.
Flavin, 55, filed for divorce from Stallone, 77, in August last year but the couple were back together by Christmas.
    Brigitte Nielsen – Ludmilla Drago

Brigitte was married to Stallone when she starred in Rocky IV as the cold-hearted Soviet wife of Ivan Drago.
She later described it as a “horrible marriage” and said it harmed her career.
Brigitte, 60, said: “After I left Sylvester I kind of felt like I was blacklisted for a long time. I am almost positive that had I not been in the public eye with this famous man, that would never have happened. But they always thought: after Stallone, who is going to be next?”
Brigitte, who also starred in Beverly Hills Cop II, has been married five times and has four sons and a daughter.
She once described how she slapped Madonna in a club after she was “rude” and “kept stepping on my feet” – then had revenge sex with the singer’s ex Sean Penn a few months later in France.
Brigitte has twice been in rehab for alcoholism and appeared drunk on reality show The Surreal Life in 2005.
    Talia Shire – Adrian Balboa

One of Rocky’s most iconic moments comes when he yells “Yo Adrian, I did it’” after beating Apollo Creed in Rocky II.
Adrian was played by Talia Shire, who is the sister of producer Francis Ford Coppola and the aunt of actor Nicolas Cage and director Sophia Coppola.
Talia, now 77, also portrayed Don’s daughter Connie Corleone in The Godfather movies but one scene in the legendary movies led to a defamation lawsuit in America.
Paramount+ recently told the story of how the Godfather was made in a scripted series called ‘The Offer’, told from the perspective of producer Al Ruddy.
Al is being sued by actor Gianna Russo because his character in The Offer is shown going ‘off-script’ and actually hitting Talia for a domestic violence scene.
Gianna is suing Ruddy saying: “I never touched Talia with my hand.
“Talia’s parents were on the set. My own mother had been beaten and was institutionalised. And my grandchildren who heard this got upset.”
    Carl Weathers – Apollo Creed

Carl played Rocky’s rival and later his friend in the first four Rocky films.
But acting was not his first love.
Carl, 75, played professional football for the Oakland Raiders in California and started working as a film extra. He got a role in Starsky & Hutch and quit football to pursue Hollywood in 1975.
He landed the role of Apollo after criticising Stallone’s acting.
Weathers read through his lines with Stallone then, unaware he was dealing with the main star, told him: “It would be better if you got me a real actor to work with.”
Stallone felt the jab was something like the character Apollo would say – and Weathers landed the gig.
He also starred in Michael Jackson’s Liberian Girl music video which attracted a plethora of celebrities including Richard Dreyfuss, John Travolta, Whoopi Goldberg and Jacko’s pet monkey, Bubbles.
Carl’s career has gone from strength to strength, appearing in CBS show Tour of Duty, Street Justice and, more recently, Disney’s hugely successful The Mandalorian.
    Burgess Meredith – Mickey Goldmill

Burgess was an established actor when he played Rocky’s trainer in the first three movies.
With roles in John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men in 1939 and The Day of the Locust in 1975, Meredith already had Bafta and Golden Globe nominations and was a well-known face for playing the Penguin in the 1960s Batman TV series.
In the 1950s he had been blacklisted as a ‘communist’ at the height of McCarthyism when America was in the grip of anti-radical hysteria and feared a Bolshevik revolution.
He later told how he lost friends and jobs as a result.
Meredith, who suffered from a form of bipolar, was married four times. His first wife Helen Derby Merrien Burgess, the daughter of an American chemical boss, killed herself aged 33, five years after their divorce.
The dad-of-two, who has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, died in 1997, aged 89. Friend Adam West, who played Batman, spoke at his memorial service.
    Dolph Lundgren – Ivan Drago

Action movie man Dolph is Rocky IV’s central Soviet-born baddie.
He kills Apollo Creed in a fight early in Rocky IV and later appears in Creed II, training his boxer son Vikto.
Dolph has starred in more than 80 action movies including The Expendables, Red Scorpion, Aquaman and the titular role in He-Man, Masters of the Universe.
A karate champion in real-life, he dated singer Grace Jones after becoming her lover in 1981.
He famously told how the pair engaged in sex orgies as they partied at the famous New York Club Studio 54.
He later said the orgies involved “at the most, four or five girls”, adding: “It’s great in theory but when you have to get up and fight Sylvester Stallone in the morning it’s not such a good thing.”
Most of his movies went straight to video post Rocky and his marriage to Swedish jewellery designer Anette Qviberg, in 1994, collapsed in 2011.
He started drinking heavily and says he drifted apart from his two daughters Ida and Greta but they have since reconciled.
His film fortunes changed again when he and Stallone joined forces for The Expendables in 2010 which was a resounding hit and in June 2020 he got engaged to Norwegian personal trainer Emma Krodal.  He is 65 while she is 27.
While married to Anette, masked raiders broke into the star’s home in Marbella, Spain, and tied up his wife.  They threatened her with knives before spotting Lundgren in pictures and fleeing.
    Joe Spinell – Tony Gazzo

Rocky was employed as muscle by loan shark Tony Gazzo, depicted by Stallone’s close pal Joe Spinell.
Character actor Joe also played tough guys in The Godfather and Taxi Driver after securing his first role as Mafiosa member Willi Cicci.
But his life took a downward spiral when he developed a drink and then drug problem.
He was godfather to Stallone’s son Sage but they had a falling out in 1981 which ‘Sly’ blamed on Joe’s addictions.
Joe, who wrote the 1980 slasher film Maniac, was married to adult film star Jean Jennings for two years from 1977. The couple had a daughter before they divorced and Jean went on to remarry and become a nurse.
Spinell suffered from hemophilia, which causes problems with blood-clotting, and was found dead in his New York apartment in 1989 after apparently slipping in the bath and cutting himself on the shower stall door. Instead of getting help, he fell asleep on his couch.
    Burt Young – Paulie Pennino
Burt was actually a boxer in real lifeCredit: Rex
The daughter of Burt Young, who played Rocky’s best pal Paulie Pennino, recently confirmed the actor died on October 8, in Los Angeles.
In real life, Burt was also a boxer. He won 32 of 34 bouts while serving in the US Marine Corps from 1957 to 1959.
He was one of four actors – also including Stallone, Stu Nahan and Tony Burton – to appear in all of the six Rocky films.
Burt, who starred in hits such as Once Upon a Time in America, Chinatown, Win Win and Last Exit to Brooklyn, was also a painter.

His work has been displayed in galleries around the world and some pieces were shown in a scene in 2006’s Rocky Balboa when Paulie gets fired from a meat-packing plant.
Burt, who also owned a restaurant in the Bronx, appeared in the American comedy-drama Russian Doll, in which a game developer dies over and over again in Groundhog Day style. More

The Real Housewives of Dubai trailer has sparked controversy in the region.
Following the release of the full-length trailer last week, some have spoken out condemning the show, highlighting that it does not accurately represent the emirate of Dubai.
Leading the conversation surrounding the criticism of The Real Housewives of Dubai is Emirati commentator Majid Alamry.
Last week he took to Instagram to share a video with his 86.6k followers denouncing the show in its entirety saying that it “does not represent Dubai”.
“The housewives of my country are our mothers, our sisters, our daughters,” he said in his video. “They are the backbone in helping give our children the proper upbringing.”

However, he described the ‘housewives’ in the show as “women using the nastiest language you can ever think of and they’re presenting themselves as gold diggers”.
Alamry went on to explain that while the UAE is “a tolerant country… that does not mean that other can walk all over our morals and values”.
Since posting the video, Alamry has garnered over 260,000 views, over 10,000 likes and over 1,000 comments, with many sharing a similar sentiment to him.
Popular fashion content creator Fatma Husam commented saying, “Thank you for speaking our thoughts.”
Meanwhile, others commented saying Alamry’s words were “well said” and they “fully agree” with his statements.
The first international instalment of the Real Housewives franchise was announced back in November and is set to premiere on June 1, 2022 on Bravo TV.
The reality show is set to follow the lives of Dubai residents Caroline Stanbury, Caroline Brooks, Dr. Sara Al Madani, Nina Ali, Chanel Ayan and Lesa Milan.
