      STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have slammed a major change to the results show after Nigel Harman’s early exit. The actor was forced to withdraw from the competition early after he sustained a rib injury.

      As a result, there was no elimination this week and all four of the remaining dancers made it through to the following week.
      Their scores will all be carried over to the following week as they also prepare two dances for the highly-anticipated semi-final.
      As such, producers were forced to make a major change to the weekly results programme of Strictly Come Dancing.
      Because of the lack of elimination, the dreaded dance-off did not take place.

      Meaning Tess and Claudia resorted to extended interviews with all four of the celebrity couples and extra analysis from the upstairs studio sofa.
      But fans were quick to take to social media as they passed judgement on the major format change.
      Tess, 54, is usually known for standing directly on the ballroom floor as she is the first person to meet the stars after their dances.
      However, viewers were surprised to see her sitting down side by side with her co-host Claudia Winkleman, 51.

      On X – formerly known as Twitter – one fan jokingly tweeted: “After 20 years, they finally let Tess sit down #Strictly.”
      And it seems that Strictly viewers were very much in on the joke as radio presenter Russ Kane responded: “She took sitting down classes in drama school.”
      A second fan exclaimed: “I guess they had to put her somewhere. Otherwise she’d not have anything to do for 40 mins.”
      “I’m thinking they’ve just used the “No voting” window opportunity in the filming schedule and she’s been temporarily “Powered down” for essential maintenance,” laughed a third.
      As a fourth viewer posted “Looks like she’s ready to make a run for it🙂.”
      And a fifth added: “And it shows how Claudia is just amazing.”
      This was after The Casualty star, 50, broke his silence on his sudden departure.
      An emotional Nigel said: “I was leaping off a rostrum and was about to be caught by some handsome men, and as I flew I was Peter Pan and as I landed I was in A&E.
      “I’ve done something to my rib, it’s quite painful and I’m a little bit high on painkillers but I’m having a lovely time.”

      The mother-daughter duo were attending An Audience With Kylie at The Royal Albert Hall in London.
      Karen gave birth to daughter Abbey when she was 25 but people online are convinced that the blue-eyed blonde is decades younger than her age.
      She is now aged 62 but fans have been left baffled by her actual age.
      The pair previously gave This Morning viewers a shock when they appeared on the show together, with fans convinced that Karen was Abbey’s sister.
      Watching the pair host the fashion segment together, one fan said on Twitter: “Is that her mum or her sister?”
      This Morning anchor Ruth Langsford couldn’t help but compliment glowing Karen, telling her: “You always look so amazing.”

      STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden has revealed she’s been dealt a fresh health blow just three weeks after finishing chemotherapy treatment.In a new Instagram video, the crestfallen professional dancer, 33, told fans she was rushed to hospital on Monday and diagnosed with a blood clot on the lung.

      Doctors had feared it was on its way to her heart, however, further inspection established that was not the case.
      Speaking from her home, Amy said: “Unfortunately I’ve had another nightmare this week. Just seems to be never-ending…
      “They were really worried that the clot was travelling to my heart or effecting my heart. Lucky enough, it’s not.”
      Amy showed puncture marks on her wrist and hands and said she’d had drips “everywhere”.

      She called the development a “shock” and explained how she now needs painful blood-thinning injections in her stomach for the foreseeable future.
      “Just been really frustrated,” continued Amy. “I had lots planned this week, voice-overs, just getting my life back and it just seems to be, like with my foot, as soon as I get it back something comes…
      “You get into your head once you finish chemo that’s it, but you learn it really isn’t…”
      Always looking for the positives, Amy took some joy in the fact she was back home, cosy with the Christmas tree up.

      The popular star also admitted she thought her hair would have grown back at a quicker rate than it currently is and lamented the loss of her eyebrows.
      She said: “Hopefully now, that’s it. I think I’ve had enough.”
      Amy, who also lives with Crohn’s Disease, was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May.
      She underwent a full mastectomy before having chemotherapy and was also found to have had blood clots in the summer.
      Despite her myriad setbacks, Amy rang the bell at her hospital three weeks ago to signal the end of her cancer treatment, and she had hoped to dance on Strictly in some capacity before the end of the year.
      However, a newly-fractured foot meant that dream was shattered and her big comeback will have to wait a little longer.
      She said: “Absolutely gutted and heartbroken as this means the plans for me to dance in the Strictly Ballroom this year are no longer possible.
      “This is what has kept me going the past few months. 2023 is certainly not my year, roll on 2024 I say!”

      In a new post on her Instagram stories, she has provided an update on how she is adjusting to her new routine.
      Amy posted a poignant clip of the moment she rang the cancer treatment bell.
      She penned: “Can’t believe it’s a whole two weeks ago! I’m off to the unit again today for my monthly injection.
      “But it does feel strange as when your in chemo cycles there’s such a routine and at the moment you feel a little in limbo!

      It comes after The Strictly Come Dancing star recently gave fans a heartbreaking update on her health after fracturing her foot.
      Amy had hoped to make a ballroom comeback before the end of Strictly next month after undergoing her final session of chemotherapy.
      Amy’s excitement, however, was short-lived, as the saddened star injured her foot and was unable to walk.

      Amy expressed her grief at the scenario in a photo posted on her Instagram Thursday, showing her foot wrapped up in a boot.
      At the time, she wrote: “Not the week I was hoping for since finishing chemo. Port out but unfortunately gained a boot for a fractured foot.
      “Absolutely gutted and heartbroken as this means the plans for me to dance in the Strictly Ballroom this year are no longer possible.
      “This is what has kept me going the past few months. 2023 is certainly not my year, roll on 2024 I say!”
      However, Amy was all smiles as she was seen arriving at The Blackpool Tower Ballroom, just days after her accident.
      Despite her latest setback, she seemed in high spirits as she joined her co-stars in Blackpool for the annual Strictly special at the Tower Ballroom this weekend.
      The 33-year-old was dressed for the occasion in a black sparkly blazer suit which complemented her orthopaedic boot which was decorated in silver rhinestones.

      Now, a year on from the show, James is about to swap EastEnders to make his pantomime debut this Christmas.

      He will take to the stage from December 1 to January 3 2024.

      This means that James will probably have to take some time away from EastEnders to appear in the production.
      James isn’t the only star from the BBC soap who have gone on to take part in panto.
