    Who is Rajwa Al Saif? Everything we know about Crown Prince Hussein’s fiancée

    The Jordanian royals are celebrating the second engagement in the family this year.
    Crown Prince Hussein announced the joyous news of his engagement to Rajwa Al Saif on Wednesday, just five weeks after his sister, Princess Iman became engaged to New York financier Jameel Alexander Thermiotis.
    While congratulations are undoubtedly flowing in for the newly engaged couple, little is actually known about Crown Prince Hussein’s bride-to-be.
    With that, Emirates Woman explores what we know, so far, about the future wife of the Jordanian Crown Prince.

    Who is Rajwa Al Saif?
    According to Jordanian news outlet Roya News, Rajwa Al Saif was born in Riyadh on April 28, 1994 and is currently 28 years old.
    The bride-to-be is the youngest of four children, including Faisal, Naif, Dana and Rajwa, born to parents Khalif bin Musaed Al Saif and Azza Al Sudairi.
    The Al Saif family’s heritage dates back to the Subai tribe in the town of  Al-Attar in Sudair, Najd, Saudi Arabia, where ancestors are known to have been the sheikhs of the town.
    Rajwa’s father, who resides in Riyadh, has established himself as a well-reputed businessman over the years.
    Life & career
    Rajwa was born and raised in Saudi Arabia where she completed her secondary education.
    She then moved to New York to attend university at the College of Architecture at Syracuse University. However, little is known about her career after graduating from the university.
    The engagement
    The announcement was made via a Twitter post by the Royal Hashemite Court on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. The post congratulated the couple and showcased a series of images of the family together to mark the special occasion.

    The statement said, “The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce the engagement of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to Ms. Rajwa Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif, on Wednesday, 17 August 2022, in the presence of Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah.”
    Queen Rania also shared a personal congratulations to her son and his bride-to-be following the announcement.
    “I didn’t this it was possible to hold so much joy in my heart! Congratulations to my eldest Prince Hussein and his beautiful bride-to-be, Rajwa,” she said on Instagram, also sharing photos from the engagement.
    The family posed with wide smiles in several portrait shots as the royal couple stood with their future daughter-in-law after the ceremony.
    With not just one but two engagements in the family this year, Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bin Abdullah II announced her engagement to Jameel Alexander Thermiotis in early July.
    More details about both the impending nuptials are yet to be announced.

    Everything we know about Princess Iman of Jordan’s fiancé Jameel Thermiotis

    The exciting news was announced last week that the eldest daughter of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan, Princess Iman, is engaged.
    Sharing a photo of the young royal with her fiancé, the Royal Hashemite Court revealed the 25-year-old is to wed Jameel Alexander Thermiotis.
    The announcement came as somewhat of a surprise to royal fans as Princess Iman’s relationship with Thermiotis has been kept very private and little is known about the royal’s fiancé. However, here’s what we do know about the soon-to-be-husband so far.
    Age, background & family
    According to reports, Thermiotis’ is of Greek descent, but was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1994 and is currently 28-years-old. Thermiotis’ family also reportedly has a significant fortune, ranging between $10 million to $20 million.
    Every year, he and his family visit the Greek island of Andros.
    Career
    As for his career, Hello Magazine reports that Thermiotis works as a financier in New York City. He is currently a managing partner at a venture capital fund Financorp Holdings Corporation after graduating with a degree in Business Administration.

    The engagement
    While it’s still unknown how the couple met, Princess Iman attended Georgetown University in Washington DC, so she has spent a significant amount of time in the USA, where Thermiotis resides.
    The couple announced their engagement on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, with key family members including King Abdullah, Queen Rania, Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, Princess Salma and other members of Thermiotis’ family.

    The official portrait released by the Royal Hashemite Court also subtly showcased Princess Iman’s engagement ring, which appears to be a classic princess cut diamond.
    Another portrait of the couple was also released with Crown Prince Hussein. The elder brother of Princess Iman congratulated her saying, “Warmest congratulations to my dear sister Iman and to her fiancé Jameel on their engagement. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.”
    More details about the impending nuptials are yet to be announced.

    Princess Iman of Jordan announces engagement to Jameel Alexander Thermiotis

    Congratulations are in order for the Jordanian royal family.
    Princess Iman, the eldest daughter of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan, has announced her engagement to Jameel Alexander Thermiotis.
    The joyous news was announced in a statement by the Royal Hashemite Court.
    A portrait of the happy couple on the court’s official Instagram page.

    Queen Rania also shared the photo on her own Instagram page, congratulating her “dearest Iman” and her husband-to-be.
    “Congratulations my dearest Iman; your smile has always been a gift of love that I’ve cherished since the day you were born,” she said. “I wish you and Jameel a life filled with love and laughter!”
    What we know so far
    Little is known about Princess Iman’s fiancé, nor have any wedding details. What has been revealed by the Royal Hashemite Court is that the announcement was made in the presence of the 25-year-old’s parents, King Abdullah and Queen Rania, as well as her siblings, Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II, and Princess Salma bint Abdullah II, in addition to members of Thermiotis’ family.
    The official portrait released also subtly showcased Princess Iman’s engagement ring, which appears to be a classic princess cut diamond. In the photograph, Princess Iman kept it classic, wearing a flowing ivory dress which complemented her fiancé’s navy blue suit which he paired with a white shirt.

    Sheikha Fatima sends condolences as Queen Rania mourns her father’s death

    Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan is mourning the loss of her father, Dr. Faisal Sidqi Al Yasin, who passed away on Friday.
    In the wake of his death, King Abdullah II of Jordan announced a seven-day mourning period across the country.
    Queen Rania shared the news of her father’s death on Instagram posting a photo of him.
    “Oh God, on Friday, open the gates of heaven for my father’s soul, and the gates of your mercy and paradise,” she said in the caption.
    Condolences for the King and Queen of Jordan came in their masses, including from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, who expressed her sympathy following the passing of Dr. Al Yasin.

    Per WAM, “Sheikha Fatima expressed sympathy with Queen Rania, and prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the soul of her father”.
    Dr. Al Yasin. was laid to rest on Saturday at the Royal Cemetery in Jordan where King Abdullah and Crown Prince Hussein participated in the funeral.
    Queen Rania’s father was born in 1934 in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm in the West Bank.
    He went on to study medicine at Egypt’s Cairo University and completed further studies in Northern Ireland, eventually moving to Kuwait – where Queen Rania was born – and went on to retire in Jordan.

    Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania celebrated 76 years since Jordan became an independent state in a special way.
    The royal couple stepped out on May 25, 2022, at Al Husseiniya Palace for a special ceremony to mark the anniversary when Jordan gained its independence from the British government.
    The Jordanian monarch and Queen Rania were joined by their children Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Iman and Prince Hashem – Princess Salma did not appear to be in attendance – as well as other dignitaries and senior officials.
    The theme of the ceremony celebrated the future of the nation, highlighting the younger generations who will carry the flag for the country.
    King Abdullah presented a number of royal medals at the ceremony and a number of acts also performed for the guests.
    Queen Rania shared a number of photos from the special occasion. “God bless our country and its people,” she said in the caption of the post.
