Phillip Schofield’s young ITV lover’s life ‘in tatters’ after it’s revealed he signed £100k gagging order to stay quiet

It was revealed yesterday Schofield paid his ex-lover, who is 34 years his junior, a six-figure sum in a deal.
The arrangement with his ex now mutually gags both Phillip and the man from ever talking about their relationship.
A representative for Schofield confirmed a deal was signed last year, including payment to compensate the man for losses suffered, the Mail on Sunday reported.
And now it has emerged that the younger male colleague is still attempting to put his life back together.

“Now it turns out he has been gagged. It all seems very unfair,” a former colleague told MailOnline.
“He has been struggling for some time, he had a lot of friends at ITV and we often think about him and hope he is doing OK.
“It has been tumultuous for him, just when he was getting his life sorted.”
A friend of the runner — identified only as Person X — also said having no option to speak out because he was persuaded to sign an NDA was “cruel”.

In comparison, Schofield was able to discuss his “unwise but not illegal” relationship in a series of interviews last year.
A source said the payout was part of an agreement that also included an NDA preventing both men from talking about the scandal.
This Morning’s new hosts revealed as top TV presenters replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield
The scandal brought the presenter’s decades-long TV career to an ignominious end last year.
The man was just 15 when he met Schofield, who helped him land a job as a runner on This Morning at the age of 19.
A romantic relationship between the pair began when the man was 20, after which he moved to another ITV daytime show, Loose Women.
He later left the channel with a separate payout.

Speaking to the Sun last June, Schofield told of his struggles.
He said: “You watch all these layers of you slide away and slide away and slide away.
“The things that were dear to you. But I deserve it. It’s my fault. I deserve it.”
He also vowed never to use social media again.
The news follows ITV announcing Phillip and former co-star Holly Willoughby’s permanent replacement on This Morning.

Kate was last seen on GMB on December 8.

A source added: “Kate’s well-being is everyone’s main concern.”Derek had flown to Mexico the week of December 8 for specialist treatment for long Covid.

Tomorrow, Kate will be live on air to talk for the first time about her husband’s brave final battle, and discuss his funeral, which was attended by a host of politicians and celebrity friends of the couple.
Kate fought back tears at the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Primrose Hill, North London — where the couple wed in 2005.
The priest who married the pair gave a reading during the two-hour Catholic ceremony.
Ex-PM Tony Blair, political adviser Derek’s former boss, gave a speech.

The couple’s children, Darcey, 17, and Billy, 14, laid flowers saying “we love you Dad”, with Darcey one of the pallbearers.
Last summer courageous Kate was honoured with an MBE for her services to broadcasting, journalism and charity.
The presenter, who always vowed “never to give up” on Derek, produced two award-winning documentaries on the psychotherapist’s fight with coronavirus.
She was widely praised by carers’ groups and charities for raising awareness on the plight of those looking after family with debilitating conditions.
Kate, who survived on four hours sleep caring for Derek, suffered her own secret health battle last year when rushed to A&E at 4.30am.

Reports have suggested she may be forced to sell her home which was adapted to accommodate Derek’s recovery.
And last year she was landed with a £716,000 tax bill.
The couple had to close down Derek’s psychotherapy company with him unable to work.
In addition, Kate is understood to have run up medical bills totalling almost £1million, refusing to stint on Derek’s healthcare.
She was left devastated when he passed away on January 3.
Kate wrote: “Derek was surrounded by his family in his final days and I was by his side holding his hand throughout the last long hours and when he passed.
“I have so much more to say, and I will do so in due course, but for now I just want to thank all the medical teams who fought so hard to save him and to make his final moments as comfortable and dignified as possible.
“Sending so much love and thanks to all of you who have so generously given our family so much support.
“Rest gently and peacefully now Derek, my love, I was so lucky to have you in my life.”

Meanwhile, earlier on Wednesday’s GMB, host Richard was slammed for being “unsympathetic” while talking to a grieving mum in a separate chat.
