Her management company CAA has received bids to turn it into a TV series, a feature film or even a documentary.
There have already been two documentaries made about Britney’s life which followed the #FreeBritney movement, prior to her release from her conservatorship.
The book covers all sorts including her romance with Justin Timberlake, which included a secret abortion, her rocky relationship with her family and the ins and outs of her mental health battles.
It has proved to be an explosive read and she is already planning for a second book to be released next year.

Fans were stunned after reading the tome, where Britney said she contemplated taking her own life during the darkest moments of her conservatorship.
Britney, 41, wrote: “How had I managed not to kill myself in that place, put myself out of misery like you’d shoot a lame horse.
“Believe that almost anyone else in my situation would have.
“Thinking about how close I came to doing just that, I wept.”

Britney, who was placed under a conservatorship by her father Jamie in February 2008, said she reached her lowest ebb during a two-month stay in a mental health facility.
She said she was forced there against her will when Jamie had her assessed by a doctor who said she was “demented”.
Britney explained: “My father said that if I didn’t go, then I’d have to go to court and I’d be embarrassed.
He said: ‘We will make you look like a f***ing idiot and trust me, you will not win.’
“It was like a form of blackmail and I was being gas lit. I honestly felt like they were trying to kill me.
“They kept me locked up against my will for months.”
In the book, the Hit Me Baby One More Time star said she was also forced to take lithium – a mood stabilising medicine.
She added: “For years I’d been on Prozac but in the hospital they abruptly took me off and put me on lithium, a dangerous drug I did not want or need and that makes you extremely slow and lethargic.
“On lithium I didn’t know where I was or even who I was sometimes.”

Recalling the regime she lived under, Britney said: “I couldn’t go outside.
“I couldn’t drive a car. I had to give blood weekly. I couldn’t take a bath in private. I couldn’t shut the door to my room . I was watched even when I was changing.” More

I loved Friends and fancied Jennifer… but I was battling demons & didn’t know how to stop, says Matthew Perry in memoir

IT was almost a year ago to the day that Matthew Perry released his extraordinary memoir, laying bare his crippling battle with drugs and alcohol – and his secret crush on Jennifer Aniston. After decades of struggles, including a terrifying brush with death in 2018, he spoke about how grateful he is to be alive, and his pride in “bouncing back from all this torture”.

It makes the Friends star’s sudden death at his Los Angeles home on Saturday, aged just 54, all the more tragic.
In the book, Friends, Lovers, And The Big Terrible Thing, he told how at his darkest point, he was drinking two pints of vodka and popping 55 pills a day.
His dependency on methadone, cocaine and tranquiliser Xanax resulted in 15 rehab stints, 30 years of therapy and more than 6,000 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings — much of which went on while he was filming Friends.
He wrote: “Even though it’s a little scary to tell all your secrets in a book, I didn’t leave anything out. Everything’s in there.”
    READ MORE ON MATTHEW PERRY
Matthew was 24 when he won the role of Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom, which premiered in 1994.
On reading the script he felt the character was tailor-made for him, joking it was as if someone had followed him around for a year, stealing his jokes and copying his mannerisms and “world-weary yet witty view of life”.
Three weeks before his audition, he prayed: “God, you can do whatever you want to me. Just please make me famous.”
    ‘Julia was slumming it’
Matthew recalled sitting down with the cast for the first time — and spotting a familiar face.

He had met Jennifer, who played Rachel Green, three years earlier through mutual friends, and admitted he had been “immediately taken with her”.

When he asked her out, she gave him the brush-off, but said she would love to be friends, to which he exclaimed: “We can’t be friends!”
He wrote: “Now, a few years later, ironically we were friends.
“Fortunately, even though I was still attracted to her and thought she was so great, that first day we were able to sail right past the past and focus on the fact we had both gotten the best job Hollywood had to offer.”
Friends was an instant hit, and Matthew suddenly found himself with a bevy of admirers — including Pretty Woman star Julia Roberts.
They faxed each other for three months before meeting, and began dating around the time she made a cameo in a 1995 Friends episode.
But Matthew broke things off after just two months, fearing he would “never be enough” for her and that she was “slumming it” with him.
In 1996 he briefly dated Baywatch actress Yasmine Bleeth — who Chandler regularly spoke of having a crush on — and also had flings with actress Neve Campbell, Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham and fashion student Rachel Dunn.
His longest relationship was with Mean Girls actress Lizzy Caplan, lasting from 2006 to 2012 — although they tried to keep their romance private.
The fame that Matthew had so desperately craved as a kid came at a price — and he started drinking heavily soon after.
He wrote: “I loved my co-actors, I loved the scripts, I loved everything about the show. But I was also struggling with my addictions, which only added to my sense of shame.
“I had a secret, and no one could know. And even making the shows could be painful.”
In an interview with ABC News last year, Matthew recalled how Jennifer — who he had “long since gotten over” after she began dating Brad Pitt — challenged him on set one day about his drinking.
He said: “Imagine how scary a moment that was,” but he added: “She was the one that reached out the most.”
Their close bond was evident at the Friends reunion in 2020, where Matthew spoke of his crippling insecurity, admitting he used to feel like he was going to die, or break out in sweats and convulsions if the live audience didn’t laugh at his jokes.
He wrote: “This pressure left me in a bad place, and I also knew that of the six people making that show, only one of them was sick.
“I would give it all up not to feel this way. I think about it all the time. It’s no idle thought, it’s a cold-hearted fact.
“That Faustian prayer I made was a stupid one, the prayer of a child. It was not based on anything real. But it became real.
“I have the money, the recognisability and the near-death experiences to prove it.”
One of those came in 2018 when Matthew’s colon burst — a symptom of his abuse of the opiate OxyContin, which left him on a life support machine with damaged organs.
Matthew told People magazine: “The doctors told my family that I had a two per cent chance to live.
“I was put on a thing called an Ecmo machine, which does all the breathing for your heart and your lungs. And that’s called a Hail Mary. No one survives that.”
Afterwards Matthew spent two weeks in a coma and five months fighting for life in hospital. He had first been prescribed the painkiller Vicodin in 1997, after a jet ski accident, and quickly became reliant on it, even after his injuries healed.
It led to his first stint in rehab, lasting 20 days, but it wasn’t enough to get him clean.
Matthew — who admitted there were three years of filming Friends that he doesn’t remember — tried to hide his condition, but his yo-yoing weight alarmed co-stars and fans.
    Stomach operations
By 2001 he was drinking a litre of vodka a day, and he said of his addictions: “I could handle it, kind of. But by the time I was 34 (in 2003), I was really entrenched in a lot of trouble.
“But there were years that I was sober during that time. Season Nine (2002) was the year that I was sober the whole way through.
“And guess which season I got nominated for best actor? I was like, ‘That should tell me something’.”
At his worst, Matthew was taking 55 Vicodin tablets a day and weighed just over 9st.
He told People: “I didn’t know how to stop. If the police came over to my house and said, ‘If you drink tonight, we’re going to take you to jail’, I’d start packing.
“I couldn’t stop because the disease and the addiction is progressive. So it gets worse and worse as you grow older.”
With the support of his Friends co-stars he attempted to get clean, but suffered numerous relapses.
He said: “They were understanding and they were patient. It’s like penguins.
“Penguins, in nature, when one is sick, or when one is very injured, the other penguins surround it and prop it up.
“They walk around it until that penguin can walk on its own. That’s kind of what the cast did for me.”
Matthew went to rehab 15 times in all. He recalled a stint in 2001 during which he watched his ex Julia Roberts win the Best Actress Oscar on TV, while he was “sweating and twitching, filled with fear”.
He told how he stood up and cried out: “I’ll take you back. I’ll take you back.”
He added: “The whole room laughed, though this was not a funny line in a sitcom. This was real life now. Those people on the TV were no longer my people.
“No, the people I was lying in front of, shaking, covered in blankets, were my people now.”
Last year Matthew said he was “pretty healthy”, and added it was something he was extremely proud of.
He didn’t reveal how long he had been sober, but said he “counted every day” and was spurred on by the harrowing scars from 14 stomach operations which served as a constant reminder.
He said he had written his book to help others suffering from addiction, and added: “There were five people put on an Ecmo machine that night, and the other four died, and I survived.
“So the big question is why? Why was I the one? There has to be some kind of reason.”
In an interview with Canadian broadcaster Tom Power last year, Matthew made what now feels like an eerie premonition.

He said: “The best thing about me, bar none, is that if somebody comes up to me and says, ‘I can’t stop drinking, can you help me?’ I can say yes and follow up and do it.
“When I die, I don’t want Friends to be the first thing that’s mentioned, I want that to be the first thing that’s mentioned.”

Paloma Faith reveals career change as she promotes brand new album

PALOMA Faith is already a singer, a songwriter, an actress and a mother. But now she is ready to add another string to her bow by penning a book which is sure to get people talking with its title — MILF.

The Lullaby hitmaker has spent months working on the tome, but it might not be as sexy as the words which the acronym stands for.
The mum-of-two said it will explore the experiences of women in the spotlight once they’ve had kids.
Paloma explained: “When I first started having kids, I did notice an increase in doubt around me about whether I could still sustain a career. Sex sells and it’s like, ‘Can you be sexy?’
“I’m in the middle of writing a book which is going to be out next year, called MILF.

“It’s all about this stuff and how it’s sort of impossible really to be a success as a woman in culture without it being wrapped in the vines of the patriarchy.”
It sounds like putting the project together has been a learning curve for her, too, as she said she realised she herself has misogynistic thoughts.
Speaking on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, she continued: “In the book, I say the patriarchy is not just perpetuated by men, it’s perpetuated by gay men, straight men, theys, thems, women…
“It is so ingrained in us that we often have misogynistic or very patriarchal ideas about each other, even.

“I take responsibility as well for putting myself under pressure now I’m a mum.
“I have ridiculous ingrained ideas – even as an empowered woman – for myself and what I should and shouldn’t do. It’s a huge issue because we all have it in us.”
Earlier this month, Paloma released her single How You Leave A Man, which is inspired by the breakdown of her marriage to artist Leyman Lahcine, who is the father of her kids.
Between that, her chart-topping career, and her youth which saw her work as a life model, a magician’s assistant and a bartender, it sounds like she has enough material to make her next book a memoir. More

The book’s subhead states it is: “A Story of Strength, Self-Belief and S Club 7.”
Rachel, who is also expected to lift the lid on her marriage breakdown with husband Alex Bourne, says she has always been too nervous to “share” much of her life with fans.
But next spring, they will be able to read the truth.
Rachel announced the news on Instagram, saying: “Hi everyone ❤️ I am SO excited to finally announce that behind the scenes, I’ve been working on a brand new, very personal project…I’ve written my first-ever book!”

She added: “There’s so much I haven’t had the confidence to share before now. I can’t wait to let you in and share my story with you all.”
Rachel’s pal replied: “I am so very proud of you my person, I can’t wait for you to share your story.”
S Club 7 are currently on tour after reuniting earlier this year to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
However, their huge string of reunion gigs have been marred by tragic sadness and a fall out.
    Most read in Showbiz
In April, just two months after their comeback was announced, band member Paul Cattermole suddenly died aged 46.
A coroner later concluded he had passed away from ‘natural causes’ due to a combination of heart-related issues.
The band publicly vowed to press on with their arena tour, but Hannah claims she was then snubbed from the gigs.
Still reeling over the death of Paul – who she had previously been in a romantic relationship with – Hannah told The Sun she only realised she was not being included when the band went behind her back and filmed a social media post without her.
She was about to sign her contract but says she was then “blindsided” after bosses went ahead with the launch.
In July, the band were quizzed on Hannah’s future with S Club during an appearance on This Morning.
Refusing to answer directly, Jon Lee attempted to dismiss the story, adding: “We’re doing a 15-date tour across the country which starts in Birmingham on October 12th. We’re going back to Dublin. We’re really looking forward to seeing the Irish fans.”
Pushing back, host Josie Gibson asked: “The door is always open for Hannah, is that what you’re saying?”
Jon added defensively: “Yeah we’ve said that many times.”
His bandmate and lead singer Jo O’Meara said: “Yeah, it’s always open.”
Earlier this month, Hannah claimed she was “no longer in touch” with her bandmates.
She said: “I’ve not spoken to any of them since I left, which is fine.
“I was extremely excited — we all were — to get back as a seven.
“But then Paul died and everything changed. It gave me time to reflect on whether it was the right thing for me to do.
“I’m really sad we aren’t in touch. They’ve gone their way and I’ve gone mine. I wish them all the best.”
S Club 7 did not reference Hannah during their opening night.
Members Jo, Rachel Stevens, Jon , Bradley McIntosh and Tina Barrett made no reference to her as they kicked off their Good Times tour in Manchester.
A source told The Sun: “They didn’t mention her once during the whole gig – even during the tribute to Paul.

“It was really weird as she was obviously a big part of the band and in it for a long time – but it was like she didn’t exist.”

Fans in Mexico, who got the book a week early after it went on sale in error, claim that Britney says Justin secretly bedded two celebs — one believed to be All Saints star Nicole Appleton.
In 2000 it was widely rumoured that Nicole and Justin had a fling after they were snapped sneaking into the St Martins Lane Hotel in West London, where he was staying following a night out.
One fan with the book wrote on Twitter: “Britney mentions that she knew JT was unfaithful, first with the All Saints girl and then with a celebrity who is still very famous, married and has kids now . . . and that in revenge she had a one-time lay down with [dancer] Wade Robson.”
Speaking last year, Britney’s former make-up artist Julianne Kaye admitted coverage of Justin and Nicole’s night out sparked a row between the superstars.

She said: “Britney had her questions about who he was with, as stuff would be out in the press.
“They were very famous. He’d be out with some girl from All Saints, and she’d get very jealous.”
In the book, Britney claims JT cheated on her with another star who is now “married with children”, but doesn’t name her.
Britney and Justin dated from 1999 to 2002, having met as youngsters on Disney’s The Mickey Mouse Club.

During their time together, much was made of Britney being a virgin, with her record label desperate to portray her as an innocent “girl next door”.
Another bombshell reported to be in the book is that Britney cheated on Justin with dancer Wade Robson.

Aussie Robson, 41, later went on to accuse pop superstar Michael Jackson of sexually abusing him.
She writes of her fling with Wade: “We were out one night and we went to a Spanish bar. We danced and danced. I made out with him that night.”
She goes on to claim that she had been loyal to Justin for years “with that one exception”.
Earlier this week, extracts from the book revealed the heart- breaking truth that Britney secretly aborted Justin’s baby after the Sexy Back singer insisted he was not ready to be a dad.
She said the decision still haunts her to this day.
Now I can reveal that Britney also uses the book to reveal she actually lost her virginity at around the age of 13 or 14, well before hitting the big time as a pop star.

And her later fling with actor Colin Farrell is little more than a footnote, with Brit branding their short romance “impulsive”.

“Just when we think we know how to be the “perfect adult”, life happens. This book covers a wide range of topics on how to become a “proper” grown up and how to survive adulthood.”

    Verity by Colleen Hoover

“I hadn’t read a book in a while and wanted to get back into it. This is the exact book that did it for me. From cover to cover, I read Lowen’s journey within a day. Couldn’t put it down. I won’t say anything more but it’s a must-read for mystery lovers.”

The Seat Of The Soul by Gary Zukav

“There isn’t a single conversation between my baby brother and I in which he doesn’t quote this book – which naturally drew me to it. The book’s teachings – such a deeper understanding of our actions, motivations and how the Universe operates at a ‘soul’ level are truly life-altering. Be warned: Heavy focus is required – definitely not the kind of book to read when feeling distracted.”

Hear The Wind Sing by Haruki Murakami

“One of the books I keep coming to. One of his earliest novels in which he writes about himself working at a jazz bar. It’s real and gritty and beautiful.”

    – Pia Hammond, creative director

My Year Of Rest And Relaxation By Otessa Moshfegh

“This is a story about a woman pursuing a year of hibernation from the world. In its ramblings there is something profound to be said – or so reviewers think. I haven’t read this one yet but it’s one I’m so looking forward to.”

You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero

“There’s just something about a self-improvement book that gives life lessons with a humourous and hilarious outlook on life, that I absolutely love. From the reviews I’ve read, this book is like your best friend who doesn’t hold back. She gives you the straight and narrow answer you don’t want to hear, but with advice on how to change your situation.”

A Spell of Good Things by Ayobami Adebayo

“I have loved award-winning Nigerian author Ayọ̀bámi’s work since reading her debut offering Stay With Me in 2019 – a book whose ending had me bawling my eyes out and sealed my fandom. I’ve only heard great things about A Spell of Good Things and can’t wait to get lost in its wealth, political corruption and romantic obsession storyline.”

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

“A moving novel of three characters trying to understand their purpose. It’s a sad and fragile read.”

    – Pia Hammond, creative director

Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton

“This has been my favourite read of 2023 (I’ve read it almost 20) and it’s one I will gift my girlfriends whenever I get the chance. It’s perfect if you feel like you’re stumbling through your 20s/30s and shows such a raw, real and beautiful side to being a young woman. Guaranteed to be a book you pass around your friendship group.”
