Traitors star reveals his horror after balaclava-wearing ‘burglars’ shouted ‘stab him’ as they ‘ran at him with knife’

THE Traitors legend Wilfred Webster has revealed his horror as knife-wielding “burglars” shouted “stab him”.

Wilfred, who was a finalist on the first season of the hit BBC One show, has shared the awful experience that happened just this morning.

The reality star shared in an Instagram post that he was lying on his bed with headphones on watching Netflix when the drama unfolded.

Wilf said: “The next thing I see my bedroom door open and I thought it was my wife and turns out it’s some low life piece of s*** burgling my house in a balaclava!

“I jumped off the bed in shock and he ran downstairs and out the back of the house via a window.

“I ran out of the front door and stood in the garden in shock and the pair of melts walked around the corner and I spotted them.

“One of them shouted ‘stab him’ and then ran at me with a big knife.

“Quickly I ran back into my house and shut the door and phoned the police.

He said the police arrived quickly and they were able to identify the getaway vehicle through Wilfred’s neighbours’ Ring doorbell cameras.

“I’ve been through a lot in my life but I have never felt so scared. My house is my safe space and to have someone break in and take away that safety is horrible.”

He even posted the picture to Instagram through a VPN out of fear the burglars could track it.

“We believe they entered by breaking the panelling on the back door and squeezing through and exited through the back window!”

“We’re definitely upgrading our security and I’m never wearing noise cancelling headphones again.”

“People if you do have a doorbell that records please charge it. I can’t believe I’m saying this but keep your house safe. Realistically no one should enter your house unwanted but we live in a world with scumbags!”

Fans of Wilf’s shared their shock on the Instagram post.

One said: “Oh @wilfredwebsterofficial that sounds horrible so sorry you had to go through that. Hope you’re doing ok xxx.”

Another said: “Hopefully they’ll catch the scumbags Will, glad your ok and not hurt pieces of s*** need catching.”

While a third said: “What absolute scumbags! Glad you’re okay and yes a home is a safe space. No one should feel unsafe at home.”

Wilf made it to the final of last year’s series of The Traitors and he was branded by viewers as “the ultimate villain”.

Following his time on the show Wilf planned to return to social work and a part-time charity job.

He previously told how hopes of being a full time Instagram influencer had disappeared after his show exit.

But his Instagram account says he is a ‘Content Creator & TV Personality’.

He admitted he had struggled to secure a mortgage because of the unstable employment and told Vice: “I know some people from The Traitors were probably disappointed.

Talking of the struggles to provide for his family Wilf, who is married to stunning wife Yiota, opened up on the financial insecurity stemming from the show.

Talking of his career return, he added: “I think one of the aspects of getting a job is just to be around people – like actual human beings and not just a screen.”

Wilf did not want to comment when approached by The Sun.

Life inside The Traitor’s castle

The hit BBC show is set in the grand and stunning 19th century Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.

But the contestants don’t have carte blanche to do what they like.

Season one finalist Wilfred Webster revealed the strict rules the contestants – both Faithfuls and Traitors alike – must follow for the duration of the programme.

He told Heat magazine: “People are blindfolded until they get to wherever they’re staying. And you don’t have your phone. We weren’t even allowed the TV remote, so that we couldn’t access the internet and Google each other.”

The contestants are ferried to a budget hotel near Inverness Airport in the evening so that the castle can be rest for the following day’s activities.

When they return in the morning, the huge continental buffet that awaits them doesn’t taste as good as it looks.

“The breakfast is really dry and not very nice,” said Wilf.
